Strange how things have gone this year. The top 3 in League 2 last season, gaining automatic promotion (Chesterfield, Bury & Wycombe) are all in danger of being relegated back to League 2, occupying 24th, 19th and 21st spots respectively. Whereas Stevenage who finished 6th in League 2 and won promotion through the play-offs, are sitting just below the play off zone in League 1. If Stevenage beat us tomorrow and Carlisle are beaten by Huddersfield, Stevenage will be in the play off zone, albeit some way behind the top 5. But they made it from 6th spot last year so who knows. Stevenage are to be congratulated for some of their tremendous performances this season, in particular their 5-1 trouncing of Sheff W, a 6-1 trouncing of Colchester (at Colchester), 4-2 win over MK Dons and not forgetting their 0-0 draw against Spurs in the FA Cup before losing the replay at White Hart Lane 3-1. However, they have been struggling to clinch a victory since that 0-0 draw against Spurs with only a 1-0 win over Notts C and a 1-0 win over Oldham in their last 10 league matches. Their other 8 games bringing 7 draws and 1 defeat. So although the odds are stacked against a Wycombe victory there does appear to be some hope that we will not be beaten. With Wycombe in such fine form at present and fighting for their lives to stay up maybe we can cause Stevenage as many problems as their last 5 visitors, 4 of which went away with a point. If you fancy Wycombe to pull it off, £5 could yield a tidy £21 profit. Odds: Stevenage win 4/5 Wycombe win 21/5 Draw 12/5 For the correct score odds
its probably because of stevenages style of football, whereas bury, chesterfield and wycombe werent sure how to win ugly. i hope we can get something today, but i suspect a draw will be the result
it seems strange to me that a chesterfield side that ran away with the league last season would struggle so badly this season but they did lose a couple of their better players before the season started,my take on this is that from watching our games against chesterfield and bury both teams played good attacking football last season where as the stevenage cloggers got there by kicking their way through the league with very little football being played. stevenage to their credit get results by playing in a certain get at em and rough em up style which makes them hard to beat, fair play to them it gets them results but its not the type of football most of us want to watch, with all their play acting and time wasting its not surprising that they are top of the bookings and sending off table this season.bury lost their main striker and seem to be in freefall at the moment and that fact alone could help us in our bid to stay up.as for todays game it again depends on which wycombe team turn up,we have played some good stuff over the last 5 games and credit to waddock and the players for that and lets hope it continues today.predicting a blues game is like trying to find the winning lotto numbers, but here it goes ..........cloggers 1 blues 1. COME ON YOU BLUES.
Hi Rocky I've resorted to rolling 2 dice a blue one for our score and the other for the opponents. It's as good as any method at the moment. I guess it could be a close game that could go either way. The dice say 4-4 would be a thriller if that were the case. I'm not so sure there will be so many goals would like a 2-1 win myself.
i tried that for the huddersfield game and got 1-6 so i now just guess, obviously i want a blues win but i think it will be a draw
hayes not even on the bench is what we all said would happen, lets hope beever can do the buiseness second half
