Sorry mate, I would normally understand what you're saying, but I can't be arsed to think atm rofl. What do you mean by half cut?
Pardew probably knows that we are the NE top dogs and suspects a lot of mackems and smogs will be converting.
How's the job hunting going Tash mate? Any luck yet? Best of luck to you anyhow pal, hope you can get lucky soon.
Can you explain how Mon is a bottler exactly? 5 years at Wycombe Wanderers, winning 3 promotions; 5 years at Leicester, winning 2 trophies, 3 cup finals and 3 top 10th finishes; 5 years with Celtic, winning 3 titles, 3 cups and a UEFA cup final; 4 years with Villa, 1 cup final and 3 consecutive top 6 finishes. He's only been with us 4 months and We already made a cup quarter final for the first time since 2004 and from 3rd bottom relegation candidates, we are now top 8 and still plenty to play for. In 4 months and someone else's team. What could he achieve with his OWN team? If that's what a 'bottler' achieves, then 90% of all fans would be happy to have him as manager. Our future, if it is only for only 5 years, is very, very rosy with Mon. Under Pardew, can you all say the same?
Sorry Syd, I know it's a bit like trying to decide which of my kids to save; but try as a might I can't want that lot up the road to win or draw!
Aye I've got a job mate. Since It's in a hospital, I've just gotta wait for the CRB checks and stuff to come through and go for some blood tests and start a booster thing.
Gill, no one is denying it but that doesnt stop him being a horrible slimy little cockney barrow boy. He deserves all the plaudits regarding this season but longer term, the second he starts to slip (and he will) the goon army will turn on him quicker than a Bigg Market lasses knickers come down for a bag of cold chips. MoN offers us a real chance to develop but of course no gurantees. However, I will be happy to put it on the line and state that MoN will be around long after Pardew has been given the bullet over there.
This. Pards always starts well, but the slide comes after a year or two. What could change this is NUFC hanging on to their best players when the big money boys come sniffing. But will Fat Mike resist...?
I tell you what, one interesting thing I've noticed is that MoN is a great manager, but I've never been impressed with his choice of signings over the years (one or two aside). However, Bruce is generally a crap manager, but he's generally been pretty good in the transfer market. There is a possibility that some of MoN's signings may be a sideways step.
Chapz makes an interesting point, I never saw much in the likes of Milner or Downing but O'Neill broke the bank for them, that said they got sold on for massive profits so if he keeps doing that I guess we won't be complaining
A lot of comments on here about us getting into Europe by getting above Liverpool. we have to get top 6 to get into Europe. top 4 ar champs league. 5th is Europa along with a spot from FA cup and league cup. Liverpool have league cup so if they beat Everton in semi 6th will get a place (as Spurs and Chelsea in league positions for at least europa. If everton win the semi then only top 5 will qualify. Add if Chelsea win camps league, they qualify for next seasons cl and we lose 4th position to the Europa!
Our whole club keeps having little digs at you lot like this, the more you rise to it the funnier it is
