It's the last so called london derby of the season this saturday as Leyton Orient make the relatively short journey down to south london to take on Charlton Athletic. Both sides lost by the same scoreline last saturday both going down 1-0. Charlton lost out to a Jordan Rhodes penalty while Orient went down 1-0 at home to Sheff Wednesday, Reda Johnson the goalscorer in that game. Orient also had a game in midweek when they made the like trip to Boundary Park to face Oldham. This time however they were 1-0 victors with David Mooney grabbing the only goal of the game.

When these two sides met earlier in the season at Brisbane Road. The Addicks had a torrid time and losing keeper Ben Hamer after just 6 minutes could hardly help things. Orient with their numerical advantage dominated possession and created more and the better chances of the match. It wasa once again just like the first loss of the season an old boy who sunk Charlton. This time the man came in the form of Matt Spring ,a hero a few seasons back for his derby winning goal against Palace finally turned Villain when he shot took a massive deflection off Taylor before looping over a stranded Sullivan.

Leyton Orient have been largely disappointing this season and currently find themselves in 17th place with 46 points from 38 games. I had expected them to build on last season when they missed out on the playoffs by 1 point but I could not of been more wrong. As for this season they had a terrible start not winning in their first 10 games and only picking up 3 points out of a possibly 30! Out of their last 5 matches they have take 6 points out of a possible 15 winning 2 and losing 3.

Charlton's Home Record - W11 D6 L2 GF38 GA17 PTS39

Leyton Orient's Away Record - W7 D5 L7 GF23 GA31 PTS26

Top Three Goalscorers-
Charlton Athletic - Leyton Orient
21 Wright-Phillips - 9 Lisbie
13 Jackson -8 Cox
9 Kermorgant - 8 Mooney

Previous Meetings
Leyton Orient 1-0 Charlton Athletic 31/12/2011
Charlton Athletic 3-1 Leyton Orient 02/04/2011
Leyton Orient 1-3 Charlton Athletic 13/08/2010
Charlton Athletic 0-1 Leyton Orient 25/01/2010
Leyton Orient 1-2 Charlton Athletic 18/08/2009

My team to play against Leyton Orient -

Hamer

Solly Morrison Cort Wiggins

Pritchard

Wagstaff N'Guessan

Stephens

Wright-Phillips Hayes

Subs
Sullivan
Taylor
Hollands
Green
Kermogant

It looks like Wagstaff and N'Guessan look like their playing centre midfield but they are both still on the wings with Pritchard holding and Stephens pushing further up the field.

We've not been to great lately and our lead now only stands at 6 points. The game tomorrow is must win in my opinion and I think the boys will deliver! I'm going to say 2-0 to the Addicks and back to winning ways.

Can't agree with that team at all.We should go back to what brought us success earlier in the Season.4-4-2 and keep the ball on the floor and pass it.

My team:-

Hamer
Solly Cort Morrison Wiggins
Waggy Hollands Stephens Cook(if JJ is still injured)
Kermy,BWP

Subs
Sullivan,Taylor,Pritchard,Green,Hayes.

Would not have Nguessan as he is toilet

Not sure if Kermorgant is back, but if so I'd go for:

Hamer
Solly-Cort-Morrison-Wiggins
Wagstaff*-Stephens-Hughes-Cook
Kermorgant-BWP

Sullivan-Taylor-Green-Hollands-Hayes

*Wagstaff gets the nod for me, due to the comment in a previous thread about Orient playing Forbes (a right footed CB) at LB. Wagstaff's pace would hopefully be deadly against a very weak left side of defence.

Hopefully we can start playing it along the floor again but I won't be holding my breath...

All sounds like a recipe for a Danny Green master-class to me. I want to see Stephens, Hollands, Green and JJ if he's fit but with either Stephens or Hollands told to stay forward. I don't particularly want to see Cook or
n'guessan to be honest as I think they are both cack. Not sure what to suggest if JJ is still unfit. I guess Cook will play.

I'm not going to make a prediction but i would go as far as to say that if we lose this one we are in significant danger of ending the season in the playoffs.

What to do about our midfield? Surely Stephens has to come back? And played further forward this time. None of our wingers have set the heather alight so maybe we can do without them, and I don't fancy either of our loanees either. So Hughes at DM for me; Pritchard and Hollands fetching and carrying, and Stephens supplying the ammo for the front 2, depending on whether Kermit is fit.

Just curious - Everyone says that we should go back to the winning side yet you'd still have Cort in for Taylor?

Would be interested to hear the reasons behind this one?

Well last time we won Cort was playing and i thought he had a great game tbh. Taylor has looked off the pace of late to me and was the second worst player on the pitch after Hamer against Notts County

I don't want to see any loan players in the starting eleven. They rarely offer much.

A midfield of Green, Stephens, Hollands and Waggy will do the trick.

Kermit and BWP up front, with a mixture of balls in to them - not just long-ball tactics.

I can see a 3-1 win if we score within the first half.

COYR!

This is the day it will all come together. We have better players than them all over the pitch. 3-0.

And the mods should ban the next person to use the word "bum". It is a very rude word and my nanny banned it from the nursery.

Lets start well at home for a bloody change apart from yoevil we`ve started crap at home of late...show the rest of the league 1 infidals we mean buisness,3 0 suits me make it so.

You're spot on Mikey, lets get at them from the off, 'stick it up em' like most teams seem to do to us. Get an early goal to settle the nerves. Doesnt sound like O's are playing well, so, lets go get them and get them early.
Oh, and please, no hoofing .
