30/03/2012 by David McIntyre Mark Hughes says he will stay on as manager even if QPR are relegated. Rangers are heading for a return to the Championship after a miserable run of results and there is sure to be speculation about the Welshmanâs future should they go down. But Hughes insists he intends to remain at Loftus Road regardless of which division Rangers are in next season. He said: âIâm here to do a job and build a club, and to make sure that in the long term Queens Park Rangers is a healthier club both on the field and off it. âThatâs still my aim and I fully expect â irrespective of what happens â to be here. Thatâs my intention.â http://www.footballcourier.com/news/story/1021054/hughes-ill-stay-even-if-qpr-go-down/full_story.html That makes it one less thing to speculate. Really didn't see how he could go if we were relegated, no club would've hired him after that...
Good news. Hasn't gone his or our way but the man has a decent track record (like some of our players) and I'd prefer to give him time to really build us up than another manager-go-round.
Okay, if that's the case count me in for my 47th season as an Rs fan. Was contemplating a move to a top four club but I'm impressed by all this commitment!
Jumping on the QPR band-wagon for a 47th time Brix? Shame on you. Get yourself a Man U top and eat prawn sandwiches until the moment passes.
Not sure really..Is he the man to get us out of the championship? I mean he's defo go the tactics of agressive footy but does he know his way around the players in the championship. I only ask as I'm guessing most of our squad will probably leave wont they ? I suppose we could do a lot worse though. Never trust an ex Manc & Chelski player !!
Never works Matt. No matter what other shirts I buy, they always turn blue and white the minute they come out of the wash!!
Good, but if you believe what's on other threads we'll have new owners in the summer who will doubtless want 'their own man'. At the moment the next 8 games are all that matter, find all this 'if we go down we're ok/ they all stay" stuff from the club and "we'll be bankrupt, new Portsmouth, won't get out of the NPC" stuff on here a little premature. 24 points on the table.
He hasn't got a choice, has he! Unless he wants to be one of those failed managers on sky sports breathlessly reporting on another crap goal attempt (he's too boring to do that anyway). The only question is: what kind of wage cut is he taking?
This! He's taken us in the wrong direction so far, we have no clear formation, tactics or fizz, and if we do stay up it will be more due our players than anything MH has shown so far. He has no experience of the Championship and he shows no sign whatsoever of being the guy to bring us up again.
Everything this season has been done in a panic and has been too reactionary. A close season without turbulence will see us do and play better - whichever division we're in.
Okay, if that's the case count me in for my 47th season as an Rs fan. Was contemplating a move to a top four club but I'm impressed by all this commitment! Brixton, LOL
