He returns to his former club for the first time on monday night when we play Blackburn at Ewood Park, when we signed him i was shocked becuase i remember Liverpool were interested in signing him and Tottenham and Arsenal as well, at £16million pounds we got value for money at to think he's only 20 years old, just shows how much potential he's got, i hope he gets a good reception when he return to Blackburn on monday night, he did support them when he was growing up. I think he'll eventually be a centre-back but at the moment his best position at the moment is right-back, i've been very impressed with him, he runs he makes, and the tackles as well. Were you shocked when we signed him ? do you think he'll get a good reception on monday night ?
Tbh it wouldn't matter your international status. Beckham was an England international and took abuse continually.
Which is kind of sad when you think about it. Think England could do with at least one player in the squad that put half as much pride in putting on an England shirt as Beckham did.
