Our chances of european football went out the window in pathetic fashion on tuesday night. Only the top 5 get into europe, unless Everton beat Liverpol in the semis, in which case 6th will get europa also. i.e. this match doesn't affect our chances of europe at all, we won't be overtakin you lot. For the record, i'm hoping for a draw, as I want us to finish as high as possible (and still think we have a chance of 7th), but don't want you lot getting into europe
Don't you mean, unless Liverpool beat Everton then 6th get into Europe? If Everton beat Liverpool and get to the final, they get the Europa spot instead of whoever finishes 6th mate. If it's a Liverpool vs Chelsea/Spurs final then 6th place = Europe. Anyways, I think we have more than a good chance of finishing 5th. We're picking up form again, we're starting to play some fantastic football, and Chelsea look mediocre. We can finish 5th/
Have not been called a kid in a while.... Never realised I was still a goat Also..... . Surely a draw would suffice at the least. Extra revenue generated plus finishing above Lolerpoo (potentially) could mean a lot to your club. Deary me, you should have got this by now. Feelings go out the window. Look at the bigger picture and realise that us getting a positive result benefits you!
Tashy!!! This is where you have been hiding . I doubt we will over take Chelsea. Torres seems to be finding some form and the players will try under RDM. Although I think we can beat them at home, over the remaining 8 games they will get more point than us.
The next 5 games we should be looking to take near maximum points, because our last 3 games are Chelsea and Everton away and Man City at home :/ We looked class vs WBA, and we look like this 4-3-3 formation and style of play could come together nicely, so if we by some mircale take 13-15 points from our next 5 games, I'm confident we can finish 5th or at least finish well above Liverpool, despite how our last 3 games go. At the end of the day the most important game of the season for us could be one which we don't even play in, the Liverpool vs Everton derby.
To be fair, Pardew has done very well this season but he is such a smarmy, cockney barrow boy, used car salesman sort of figure he makes my skin crawl. He is a cross between Swiss Tony and Arthur Daley. Can the mags really ever take to him? My guess is whilst he is relatively successful they will be tolerant but the second things start to falter, they will turn on him like a pack of savages. Total c**t of a manager for a set of c**t fans? What a perfect match.
He's not the perfect manager, he has his faults, and sometimes cocks it up for us. But he's really taken this team forward, and had to deal with a lot of **** and a not so friendly reception when he came her, and won the fans over. Martin O'neill was given 100% support straight away from Sunderland fans. Pardews appointment was greeted mostly by disappointment, and everyone was calling him a puppet manager, saying he was just gonna be a "yes man" and everything. But he dug in and did his job and has taken us far. I respect him.
There can be absolutely no doubting his impact at the Sports Direct has been very impressive but unlike say SBR or Keegan, I cant stand the bloke at all. He is the archetypal smug, smarmy cockney twat that I have despised all my life. He gives the impression he is patronising everyone around him and his over elaboration when pronouncing foreign players names, as if he has some inner understanding of foreign language, is embarrassing. I think he has done well initially but I also think he will fail and signs of that have crept in to your play in the last 5 or 6 weeks. I think this will continue next season and when he starts to flop his new found popularity will disappear quicker than a sausage roll on the Ashley tea table.
Sorry kidda, not tarring you all with the same brush. There are c**ts on all sides I guess just more from the dark-side eh? Lol
Pardew has got a bit of a history of doing well then flopping, but we'll just have to wait at see. O'neill is a bit of a bottler as well mate. Your team has improved but you still look like a side that doesn't look like it can cope with massive pressure or big occasions. You look like much more of a mentally strong side now than with Bruce, but still, you look like a club that can do well but only go so far. Both clubs, though, will have to forget about managers pasts or flaws and try and remain positive. Both managers need a team that they can stay with long term and gain success with.
To me this thread smack's of kidology (the Bruce effect), yes the mag's will be in yewrope next season, despite the result come Sunday. I can't see us finishing 7th, more likely looking at 10th. Are next three fixture's could easily be 0pt's.
I've had a few drinks tonight and might regret saying this.... ah what the heck it's what I really feel anyway - I would like for you to finish 7th. ****ing hate the bindippers, and I think it would be great for North East football.
lol I don't know what to say, because the lads on toonforum where saying that the alcohol talk was just bullshit and another way for me to get attention and stuff. :/
Pardew is a (K)nob. So he his, but did we need someone to start an actual thread on this to prove a point?
