It was first manufactured in Slough, Berkshire in the United Kingdom in 1932 as a sweeter version of the US Milky Way bar which Mars, Inc. produced (not to be confused with the European version of Milky Way, which is similar to the US 3 Musketeers). It was advertised to the trade as being made with Cadbury's chocolate as 'couverture'. In the United States, a different confection bears the Mars bar name. Featuring nougat, soft caramel, and almonds coated in milk chocolate, the American Mars bar was relaunched in 2010 after being discontinued in 2002.
Its very confusing. This website has got both the Canadian and American Mars Bars as different, and both of them are different to ours. http://www.oregonl5.org/mist/marsbar.html
Again, just another example of how we take a general English idea and make it just 1,000,000,000,000 x better
Exactly, the twats have changed the name of our Marathon Bar to Snickers and made a Marathon of our Mars Bar.
Bluff,American chocolate is garbage compared to the real stuff, your Lifesavers are as good as our Fruit Polo's though.
That looks like one of your Mars Bars. Why did Hershey's make our Marathon change its name to Snickers and then name one of your bars Marathon.
Can't see it to be honest, had a bit of both worlds and its just chocolate to me. I need that extra though, caramel, dark choco, etc. It's ok though, one day you will catch up to the great US and A when it comes to food I mean, beans on toast, or pancakes and steroids, I know which one I would choose.....
Its horrible stuff, but you'll be able to scratch your balls and breast feed your kids at the same time if you eat to much of it Bluff. Filled with steroids and amonia.
Ya, I have read about it, I tend to veer for my meats with local places as much as I can. Although I eat way more of the white meat than beef though. How's that black pudding coming along? Still tricking everyone to thinking it is something sweet poached egg on top of dried blood, why not!
