I sky+ it last night and i watched it and i must say he's looking very well after his cancer scare last year, he should be a pundit on sky, he has so much knowledge about the game. The most interesting bit in the whole programme was he said that we are looking at signing up to 3-4 players in the summer, this is excellent news, we must sign a right-back despite Rafael's current form, he tends to be injury-prone, a centre midfielder and probably a striker depends on what's happening with Michael Owen. I'm glad captain marvel is getting better, he has to be one of our greatest players, the goals he scored were world-class especially the one against Liverpool. Which 3-4 players would like us to sign ? What's your favourite Bryan Robson goal ?
Good to hear that he is doing well after his cancer scare a while back. I think the areas in which we need to make signings on are the right back and central midfield positions.
A new RB would be useful but I also feel apart from the obvious CM area, a back up or replacement for Evra is likely.
We need a LB, a CM (2 if Pogba goes) and I can see another striker coming in to replace Berba, I think its a bit early for Will Keane, so I think he will get farmed out for a year for development. Alba Martinez Modric Unknown South American Youngster(or USAY for short)
I'd take Hazard and Modric in a heartbeat. I think if we do sign 4 players a couple will be probably be youngsters who start in the reserves. I don't think defence is as problematic as some people are making out, Smalling is getting better and better and Jones will have a year under his belt when next season starts so they're going to be getting more and more prominent in the team. We still have Rio who's playing very well, and Vidic will be back for next season too. We are short on natural full backs, Evra,Rafael and Fabio being the only three first team full backs, but Smalling plays well at RB as does Jones and Valencia, so it's not as big a problem as it could be. Though I'd much rather keep Valencia on the wing while he's in form, he's immense at the moment. If we lose Berbatov and Owen, then I think we will need a new striker too.
Love Robbo.. Was my hero when i was a kid... my room was covered in posters of him.. Thought i was going to meet him a few years ago at a corporate do at OT an he didnt turn up... So we had Clayton Blackmore in his place... who was as it stands sound.. told loads of funny stories about him and robbo boozing it up... At the same do I also met Mark Robins.. who i accidentally mistook for a waiter and called him over and asked for another bottle of Pinot Grigio... only for him to inform me 'I'm Mark Robins I used to play for United' not sure who was more embarrassed me or him... I was hammered at this point..
