Bale has cheated, but let not go OTT about it. We love Pires and he did some pretty embarrassing dives. It's not nice but you can't deny the quality of a player because he dives. Bale for me is a quality player. His power and pace added with the final ball makes him so. If stays on the left, he could become a world class winger. At full flight he is a joy to watch. The way he tore into Maicon was surreal at times.
Not sure why Bale gets so much criticism here, oh wait he's a Spurs player Yes he did sort of dive a bit but the majority of top players dive and they dive much worse (which is wrong by the way!). I do hope that Bale cuts this out from his game as i do enjoy watching him tear into right backs.....
bale is a quality player and would get into our first eleven though as an arsenal fan i'll be happy as long as 'arry plays him out of position. Any link for that? Admittedly the site I used didn't include Walcott's goals in the CL qualifiers for some reason but even if you add those 2 goals it's still 9. It also doesn't include Bale's goal in Europa League qualifiers but you have that tally right. 13 assists doesn't look right either, Bale has 4 assists in the FA Cup too so you can add them on to the 8 he has in the league. I make that Walcott 9/9, Bale 11/12. This all digresses from the point that goals and assists don't mean you're a better player.
Agree. Goals and assists are bs. Such a narrow view of things. Modric and wilshire were similar last year in that they both didnt score hardly and niether did they get any assists.
I feel like doing a poll on Bale v Walcott and see what people think is the best. Can we still do cross-border threads?
Nope, cross boards are suspended for the time being. I can help you with the results though, Tottenham fans will say Bale, Arsenal fans will say Walcott and Man Utd fans will abstain because Young's not an option in the vote. Personally I don't think it's even very close between the two of them. Bale's better.
Sorry but a lot of Arsenal fans will also say Bale. I for one will go for Bale. He is the more complete player than Walcott, but for some reason some people don't see this....
