Fulhan are shyte and really need some class players. Just a shame they had to lend him out to discover what they had.

TBF Whilst Trotta didn't get much of a chance the strikers that did play were ok.

If Fulham were that hacked off they could have called BOTH back earlier!?

I don't think it was anything to do with them being hacked off with us - more likely that Jol realises that he is about to lose Johnson, Murphy and Dempsey & wants tocast his eye over some of his yougsters.

Pity really - I suspect that any outside chance we had of making the play-offs is now even more of a pipe dream. :(

Who do you think SD will bring in on Sat? Yeates or Forsyth? Someone else? Push Deeney wide and have 2 of Garner, Iwelumo and Assombalonga up front? As long as he doesn't play Buaben out there.

Hope he leaves Deeney where he is! I suspect/hope he will bring in either Forsyth or Assombalonga, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

We know what Yeates and Forsyth can do at this level, we know Buaben isn't a winger, we know Whichelow isn't going to get a game whether he is good enough or not. The only unknown out wide is Britt.

Not strictly Watford, but the non-league table makes nice reading.

I also spotted this from Bond.

Its good to see the patience and the willingness to learn. Im sure that one day he will be a top notch keeper.

This is my favourite bit of the whole thing is this
I love hearing that our players know hard work is needed and that they are more likely to get a chance with us than elsewhere.

    Loving the Bond article.

Inevitably there's a pro-Watford twist to anything the club publishes (not that I'm complaining), but that one really gives you a feel for how things have been for him this season, and explains from the player's own perspective the point of going to clubs like Brackley, Forest Green, Dagenham and Bury.

Rumour has it that he now wants to start playing his kids, so Alex Kaciniklic was recalled so that Jol could take a look at him...who knows...

If Alex plays games (plural) for Fulham this season I'll be very happy.

I won't spell out EPPP: it may or may not include a word that I've previously been moderated for. Suffice to say I'm not happy about the idea of allowing the people behind it to interact with our staff or kids in any way.

Hypothetically speaking, what would the consequences be of us saying to the powers that be "stuff your system, ours is objectively better, and we'll sue the *******s off of anyone who does something to undermine it"?

i don't know if we have the option to tell the big boys to bog off, but i'm sure the club will be heavily advising our youngters to tell them to take a hike. I guess the problem is, if other clubs young players get snapped up, does that mean ours will get left behind, and out in the cold? A dilemma for sure...

    The problem is simple mathematics.

We're spending £1m a year on the academy, and as of 2011 we enrolled 33 lads between the age of 12 and 16. There is a strict maximum, although I'm unsure what that maximum is, so I'll go with 33 players for now. If we're a category 2 academy, we're entitled to £25k compensation per year per player, which amounts to a theoretical £825k in compensation per year if they're all snapped up. But if we spend much less than £1m a year, we could be downgraded to a category 3 academy, which means we only get £12,500 per player per year.
