It seems that we are going to spend quite a bit this summer though you can never be sure. Depending on who we do buy who do you guys reckon we ought to promote from the reserves/youth. With regards to transfers i'm personally keen on vetonghen, podolski seems to be quite close, maybe one attacking midfielder while we have recently been strongly linked with m'vila. The only ones i would promote at present are miyaichi and i know most people with disagree with this but we can slowly blood afobe into the team. We have a plenthora of midfield options but ozzy, henderson and aneke will most likely have to spend time on loan before being considered while lansbury might be given a shot in central midfield in carling cup games though thats doubtful considering how poorly his loan spell has developed but he has imo been mistreated. I would add coquelin to the list and i'm really keen on giving him a chance but if we get m'villa (something i'm against) i dont see that happening.

I think Coq is a definite part of the 1st team squad now anyway. I'd release Lansbury, he had 1 good game for us (spuds last year) and has done nothing on loan wherever he goes. Miyaichi should be promoted, Afobe sent on loan, Henderson and Aneke released too.

Coq may be part of the first team but do you really see him getting much game time? Definitely not in dm and in full back position he'll have competition with jenkinson and sagna and santos and gibbs at left back. I dont rate aneke as much as most do so i might agree with you there but i would give henderson one last chance as the poor guy has had his career blighted by injuries. If afobe goes on loan that will leave us with very little in terms of depth unless we buy 2 strikers.

With regards to Henderson, do we need another injury prone player? We already have Diaby and Wilshere filling the treatment table, i think it's in the best interests of the club to release him. He's never really shown any promise anyway.

hmm i would actually let go of one of diaby or henderson but not both. Diaby would make more sense as he still has some value and he might have great ability but been injured for far too long. With regards to henderson's ability i think we'll have to agree to disagree because i think he has shown some promise and has great vision and passing range. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Very little in terms of depth in up top if afobe goes on loan and we don't buy at least two strikers? .....

Even if we sell Chamakh, Bendtner and Vela we are still left with good options up top especially if we get Podolski.

    RVP, Podolski, Walcott, Park, Campbell.

I'd be happy with those central options for a 433 or 442 formation. Afobe imo will get game time in the carling cup, whereas Miyaichi and Campbell will get similar chances to oxocube this season i think (lets hope they take this opportunities and show there class).

Miyaichi is a player i have tryed to watch closely since hearing about him and i think he is a real talent - very direct player who creates alot of chances and isn't scared to shoot.

campbell isnt ready yet hes not played in the last ten games. I would like to see walcott given a chance as i would park but wenger is refusing to play them. I see no reason why that is going to change any time soon. That will leave just podolski and rvp.

The intention imo was always to have Walcott come centrally and play ahead of RVP in some sort of 442 which resembles a 433.

Also if you haven't noticed Walcott has been playing a more central role for periods of recent games and i think he is being instructed to play like that. It is working well and i'm sure he will get some sort of chance in the middle (although not as a lone striker yet).

Park i hope will get some opportunities and who knows, maybe he will be a good squad player.

i would honestly love to see walcott playing in that position as i believe he can just not sure he'll be able to do so until rvp retires (hey its going to happen!). Park deserves a chance as hes been bought in on false hope but again what changed that he will now be able to do so. I guess we'll just have to wait and see though either way its a critical season next season.

Walcott lacks the strength to play as a CF. He's too easy to dispossess.

Yeah, I don't know where this Walcott for CF comes from. I think his cutting in more lately is due to having a RB going on the overlap, more than anything else.

Untrue. Norwich loved him when he was there and Fat Sam has simply failed to get the best out of him (I blame his sh*t brand of 'football'). He's a useful player and is one of those rare people who gives 100% in every game. I'd like to think he'd get a Premier League club, just don't think he's top 6 material.

Agree about Coquelin (assuming he can get/stay healthy) and Ryo. Really not sure about some of the older ressies.

It could flop, or he could be like Owen circa 1999

...totally true, all us canary fans wanted paul lambert to sign him permanently but i believe wenger was against letting him go.
