I can only assume Dudgen is out for a bit and need defensive cover. He s been doing well under Dean Holdsworth at Aldershot man of match in last game.
He has been doing well at Aldershot. I would have thought that NB would have put him on 24 hours notice of a call back but then again Rosie is now on 9 yellow cards and is also carrying an injury. Liam Cooper could well be needed for left back slot.
If we lose Rosie to his 10 yellow or injury then I would like NB to go with just 3 at the back like he did at the end at Pompey. Maybe time to have an experiment with 3 centre back and 2 covering midfielders and 5 attacking. It appears that Rosie has not trained properly for a while and is carrying an injury. Maybe best if both Rosie and Mckenna get there tenth bookings on saturday and then serve the suspension over the easter weekend and get them over with. Both that way would get 2 weeks rest. just a thought like.
I like Bradley, he's always looked good for the ressies, Cooper is very much a left sided centre back or left back, so presumably we think we need cover for the right.
i ve stood and watched the ressies with you a few times Mr B. Do you think Sonny is a right back? More likely Chester to right back and Bradley as a replacement?
I've never seen Bradley play anywhere other than centre back, so I would assume that as you suggest, Chester would be moved to right back(I'm not sure that's a great idea, he was less than convincing there last season).
I think he'd do a job there. I heard him interviewed before when he'd had to play LB and he just said he can play anywhere in defence, it's all the same to him. He's good with both feet and composed, I'd say he'd make a perfectly good full back for cover even if he did look unconvincing in one game at the end of last season when everyone else looked terrible too. The problem is, we need him in the middle. I'd be more worried about missing his presence at CB than the job he's doing at RB or LB.
Don't know if you've misunderstood me there but I'm talking about Chester. Bradley is obviously promising but we have no idea how he will work out in the first team yet.
from what i have seen, if the choice is Macca or Sonny, I d give the latter a go. Wont do him any harm at all and he'll be better prepared for next year in the Championship
I'd just like to ask, has Bradley actually been recalled? Only this time last month we were talking about how one of the kids out on loan would have to come back round about now because he'd reach the 93 day limit for emergency loans. It might have been Townsend but I thought it was Bradley.
The problem I have with that is in effect you're changing 2 positions. I would rather just stick someone in who can play RB. We must have someone? Danny East?
Alright so he is back early. Can you remember whether it was him or Townsend that was due back in the next week though? Just with people saying it might be a sign Dudgeon is out for a while I'm not sure it means anything other than he's out for this weekend.
