What a match folks!! Apart from Saints, Bilbao are a team I enjoy watching. If anyone saw tonight's game and compared it to last night dirge between Milan and Barca you might begin to wonder which competition is the Champions League. In tonight's match Bilbao were under the cosh for a considerable period of time, survived and managed three killer goals in the last twenty. It is a result I would love Saints to replicate on Saturday.

Wish commentators would refer to them as Basque and not Spanish. It is like referring to Hearts as a British rather than Scottish team.

We seem to have a thread about them every time they play now! They are a wonderful team though, it has to be said.

    Lambert scored for them.
They are a great team though,it's a shame that they're fading in the league.I think they will win the Europa league.

It seemed alright. Can't really remember much. Went on the Pride of Bilbao as well. What a ship that was!

I had my haircut on the Pride of Bilbao. I was booked on the Pride of Portsmouth but refused to travel as I said the ship's name was a contradiction of terms and I could never sail on a ship with Portsmouth in its name as I could not be confident of getting any change after settling my bill in the bar or restaurant.

If you'd gone with Brittany Ferries Lapras, you might have seen Sandra Bullock. She likes sunbathing on the Basque coast.

    Santander.

I think I went on the Pride of Portsmouth at one point. There were quite a few:

    Pride of Bilbao
    Pride of Portsmouth
    Pride of Le Harve
    Pride of Cherbourg
    Pride of Hampshire

Pride of Bilbao was the biggest, think Pride of Cherbourg as quite big. Pride of Hampshire was tiny however, didn't have much on it.

Meowth, I have gone with Brittany Ferries once from Santander. Was a good ship, liked the map they had where the lights light up as you get further through the journey. Also, saw The 13th Warrior at the cinema on board.

And barca should be called catalan? Why don't we call people from newcastle geordie as appose to english while we're at it...

Anyway, some of the barcelona hate on this board is laughable. The best team in the world, who play passing football and promote from within their youth system. What more could you ask for?

Bilbao v Barcelona this weekend for those that are interested. My two favourite spanish sides, should be a good'en

I don't hate any football team! I was merely commenting on last night's match! The only people who deserve my disdain are smug politicians (RS for example)

Less diving and equal TV rights for other teams.

This banner at Riazor when Depor hosted Barca made me laugh. It translates to "we don't want another Scottish league":

I can't watch it any more since it has been dumbed down and Robin Day is no longer the chairman.

Ids of March: but Athletic ARE Spanish, and Basque, just like Hearts ARE Scottish, and British. Political correctness? I prefer common sense.
