I see that Sarries will not have their new stadium available for 2012 and that QPR are talking about a ground share while they have a new stadium built.

Will this have any impact on WFC?

Playing at Loftus Road doesn't make a lot of sense for Sarries. And bearing in mind that they DON'T have a professional rubgy team based there, QPR's pitch has historically been poor anyway.

Probably not what you want to hear Hornette, but I went out to get some cigaret... ahem... groceries at about 11pm from the Dome Roundabout. Sainsbury's petrol bit was coned off yet still had a big queue, Asda' is shut (according to the Wobby, I didn't actually go there), and Waitrose had big queues in both directions and only about a quarter of the pumps were in use.

I've been working from home for the last couple of days and had friends round on Wednesday, so I literally hadn't left the house. Didn't realise that the hysteria wasn't an exaggeration.

I'm not pro-Unite by any means (these tanker drivers earn upwards of £40k), but it must be music to the union's ears. Why bother striking, when you can have this sort of impact by leaving the government to its own devices? <laugh>

(I know the situation isn't funny, but the way it has come about is laughable).

I agree with you. It's incredible the turmoil that is going on, just by the government saying too much, suggesting the wrong things, and sending the consumer into a panic. I was at the Dome roundabout today and the queues at Sainsbury's were immense....it's so dangerous, cars were going everywhere, trying to get past while other cars were overtaking...chaos at every petrol station in the area...and yet, i drove up to Chorleywood to drop my son off for his prom tonight (still don't get how we suddenly have proms here but anyway, that's for another night! lol)..and the garage there was busy but not heaving and had unleaded but very little diesel...i'm not driving my car now til Saturday morning...!

    Morning Al.

Just watching BBC "Breakfast" (I've been up all night too), and they're making a point of saying that the new Harry Potter attraction is in Leavesden.

You can bet your bottom dollar it will suddenly be in Watford if visitor numbers are disappointing. <steam>

Very cloudy and rain is threatening. We have 7C. I had a look for Grímsey, the most north part of Ísland with people, and they still have minus degrees and snow! Grímsey is an island 40km north of the mainland http://www.akureyri.is/grimsey/english and 100km from Akureyri.

Kolbeinsey is 60km further north and the very last bit of Ísland but no one can live there. It does have an airport or somewhere to stop with a helicopter for a few minutes or you will be blown away.

Kolbeinsey is the island and I am not in the photograph!

Morning Ak & All, thanks for the coffee I am now also trying to lose weight like Ak so no doughnut today thanks.

It is a beautiful morning here, an update for Hornette, don't come through Borehamwood all of the Garage forecourts are closed (including Tesco) or were when I came to work at 7.00am.

Enjoy your sleep PSH :emoticon-0113-sleep we used to go for a pint after nights, the pubs in Smithfield Market opened at 5.00am, as we worked in central London most of the relief used to pop in for a pint or two on our way home. Seems odd now but at the time was just like finishing after lates especially in the winter as it was dark when we went in. As PSH said 'Oh Happy Days' when I was young and the recovery rate was very short. :emoticon-0175-drunk

Interesting reading on the Cardiff board, they're pretty much accepting of not reaching the playoffs. I wonder why they accept relative failure so readily...strange.
