Now that is what a I call a great start to a nightshift, one of my mates is leaving the RAF after 22 years and it was his leaving drinks tonight, so i came in took the handover gave the new guy my mobile number and I went down the pub for a pint Just like the old days when we used to meet in the bar before going on nightshift to have a pint beofre we started Then whan we had 10'o'clock supper the old and the bold used to go down the bowling alley for a few quick pints and left the youngsters to have some food then pick them up at closing time Now those were the days!!!
I see that Sarries will not have their new stadium available for 2012 and that QPR are talking about a ground share while they have a new stadium built. Will this have any impact on WFC?
Right, thats my lot for tonight. It was fun chatting to leeds fans over there. Nothing ever changes with them. Night all. See you tomorrow.
Playing at Loftus Road doesn't make a lot of sense for Sarries. And bearing in mind that they DON'T have a professional rubgy team based there, QPR's pitch has historically been poor anyway. Probably not what you want to hear Hornette, but I went out to get some cigaret... ahem... groceries at about 11pm from the Dome Roundabout. Sainsbury's petrol bit was coned off yet still had a big queue, Asda' is shut (according to the Wobby, I didn't actually go there), and Waitrose had big queues in both directions and only about a quarter of the pumps were in use. I've been working from home for the last couple of days and had friends round on Wednesday, so I literally hadn't left the house. Didn't realise that the hysteria wasn't an exaggeration. I'm not pro-Unite by any means (these tanker drivers earn upwards of £40k), but it must be music to the union's ears. Why bother striking, when you can have this sort of impact by leaving the government to its own devices? (I know the situation isn't funny, but the way it has come about is laughable).
I agree with you. It's incredible the turmoil that is going on, just by the government saying too much, suggesting the wrong things, and sending the consumer into a panic. I was at the Dome roundabout today and the queues at Sainsbury's were immense....it's so dangerous, cars were going everywhere, trying to get past while other cars were overtaking...chaos at every petrol station in the area...and yet, i drove up to Chorleywood to drop my son off for his prom tonight (still don't get how we suddenly have proms here but anyway, that's for another night! lol)..and the garage there was busy but not heaving and had unleaded but very little diesel...i'm not driving my car now til Saturday morning...!
Morning Al. Just watching BBC "Breakfast" (I've been up all night too), and they're making a point of saying that the new Harry Potter attraction is in Leavesden. You can bet your bottom dollar it will suddenly be in Watford if visitor numbers are disappointing.

Kolbeinsey is 60km further north and the very last bit of Ãsland but no one can live there. It does have an airport or somewhere to stop with a helicopter for a few minutes or you will be blown away. please log in to view this image Kolbeinsey is the island and I am not in the photograph!
Morning Ak & All, thanks for the coffee I am now also trying to lose weight like Ak so no doughnut today thanks. It is a beautiful morning here, an update for Hornette, don't come through Borehamwood all of the Garage forecourts are closed (including Tesco) or were when I came to work at 7.00am. Enjoy your sleep PSH we used to go for a pint after nights, the pubs in Smithfield Market opened at 5.00am, as we worked in central London most of the relief used to pop in for a pint or two on our way home. Seems odd now but at the time was just like finishing after lates especially in the winter as it was dark when we went in. As PSH said 'Oh Happy Days' when I was young and the recovery rate was very short.
Morning all Another gorgeous morning here and i'm going out for lunch with a friend by the river today, should be lovely. I won't be taking my car, now filled with petrol though. I shall take Mr H's car, coz if he runs out it won't be the end of the world, but if i can't get to Leeds, it will be! lol (oh yes, and to work on Sunday. Thanks for the update Charlie...it's madness! Thanks for the caramel latte Ak
Interesting reading on the Cardiff board, they're pretty much accepting of not reaching the playoffs. I wonder why they accept relative failure so readily...strange.
