DDDD didn't say we weren't doing the others, but in terms of the league, we have not improved. Rafa had us consistently in 2-4, and challenging in Europe <ok>

Like it was mentioned in another thread, if our strikers had knocked in 10% of the clear cut chances we've created instead of hitting the post/crossbar, scuffing it or missing it, we'd be heralding Kenny as a demi-god (God is of course reserved already). We're not really a million miles off so I think he's right to say there's alot of progress.

  6. IMO, the only bit that has not improved in terms of the league is the points on the board. Okay, that is ultimately the whole point of the league but we have one of the best defensive records, we are near the top of the tree for chances created and we played much better football. We simply lack goals (and points).

The League tells it like it is ,and we havnt done it

Would I prefer us to win lots more games under Rafa , instead of this amazing football we are allegedly playin under Kenny ( been to every PL home game this year, but still must have missed it)..........................Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm DEFINITELY

Marks out of ten under Rafas reign for entertainment IMO, 7.5
Marks out of ten under Kennys current reign for entertainment IMO, 6

Well I've been to 90% of home games and probably a third of our away games and I'd put the scores the other way round <ok> the difference is simple IMO...under Rafa we created less but Torres was on fire and could score from nothing and regularly did...had we had a player on fire like that this year (as Van P has proved for Arsenal) we would have had a really good year. Let's not forget Rafa brought us the brilliance of Torres and overplayed him to death because he had Ngog and Voronin as his back up strikers.

    Just can't agree with DDDDDD.

In 18 less than months the quality of our squad has improved immeasurably. The quality of the play that they produce has risen to such a level that when they fail to reach that standard the team is rightly castigated by both the manager and the fans. All of that within a season that has seen wholesale changes to the squad, a 9 match ban for Suarez and lengthy injuries for Gerrard, Lucas, Agger and Johnson.

As has been pointed out above we have one of the meanest defences, we create more chances AND we have hit the woodwork an almost record number of times - all with a team that has hardly had the opportunity to put out its strongest 11! We have won a trophy; we are in the semis of another and are technically still able to finish 4th. To me all of that indicates improvement.

We are nowhere near the finished article. But then again we were never promised that this year!

i was the one who commented that if guys simply took 10% of the chances the tone would be different.

I TELL YOU WHAT... ALL YOU ANGRY KNOCKERS.... WHEN WE SUCCEED MAYBE EVEN THIS YEAR YOU DON'T CELEBRATE, YOU GO CRY IN A CORNER.

as for myself I'll be grateful we're not under G&H and Hodgson and having a future and while i'll point out the mistakes and falws and always call for high standards, I'll be quite happy for the club to progress... and beleive it or not we are doing just that.

agree - too much pessimism - give dalglish a bit of time - we know he can do it - if he cant, then he will be the first to admit it and step aside - we know one thing for sure - DALGLISH WILL ALWAYS DO WHATS BEST FOR LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB

Dalglish is talking ****e. Progress has not been made on all fronts.

When Lucas was 21-22 years old 95% of fans were on his back. Those same fans now vote him Player of the Year, while blindly ignoring that lesson and getting on the backs of other 21-22 yr olds. Those same fans are also the ones saying. "Throw the young lads in, they've really impressed against Blackburn Reserves!" But if the youngsters don't deliver immediately what will happen? Can you guess?

Shoot, some muppets even think beating Utd 1-4, Real 4-0 and Villa 5-0 in a row in '08-'09 , with 9 goals more than any other team and doubles over Utd and Chelsea was boring!

More work on the training pitch needed for progress with fans, Kenny.
