Oh come on Jip, I remember a little Monty Python ditty you posted with altered lyrics.

Fanwithnoname, you really are a contrary prick, aren't you? Does anyone even know which team this ****e factory supports?

Left over from my mod days. Any mod can toggle between having Moderator/Article Editor under their name, and I got to keep the latter. <badger>

I know. I never said I didn't. I was just referring to you trying to be diplomatic :)

I've never mentioned the Hillsborough/Wizzard ditty though. It is pretty horrific to be fair.

You'll need a jam rag to soak up my man-fat over the next couple of days <hug>

I think the choking on vomit/turning blue one is worse. And fine, just reject my olive branch. I won't bother in the future.

I accepted your olive branch about a year ago, despite our awkward early encounters. This is just "banter" old buddy <ok>

The only grounds that are worse than Old Trafford for support for the home team are the Emirates, Molineux and Stamford Bridge.

It isn't though. Anfield is world renowned for its atmosphere. Old Trafford is world renowned for being full of corporates who don't give a **** about the team. Your away support is decent, your home support is absolutely shameful, even in the big games.

Anfield has the most overhyped atmosphere in world football.

At least everyone knows OT is ****

Not really. Its not that great for the mickey mouse teams, but its brilliant for European night and important league and cup games.

I liked Anfield. Went with my mate and seen them beat Sunderland 3-0 few years ago. Keano was manager.

Crouchies bird and her Ma were a few seats up from us.

But so are most stadiums, Liverpool fans certainly aren't as good as some make them out to be <ok>

Their houdini act after the 86th minute at Loftus Rd was quite something though <ok>

I reckon Anfield is more colourful than it is loud. White Hart Lane, Elland Road, New Den, Selhurst Park are probably the best atmospheres. Not necessarily consistently, but certainly for big games. No coincidence that all those stadiums are based in total ****-tips.

They're abysmal - I remember going up there for a televised match - ground was like a morgue till the TV cameras came on then all we could hear was "you'll never walk alone". And they're among the worst for only singing when they;re winning - which, to be fair, against Watford they pretty much always did.......
