hard one....national hockey staduim was awful, the seats were broken and the view was poor

the away end at gillingham was also bad, it was just some scaffolding

exeter is a nice ground but the away end is poor, a terrible view and so difficult to drive up a decent atmosphere...similar with Dagenham and redbridge

Brighton's Withdean Stadium was a terrible place to watch football.

Agreed. The Withdean was easily the worst place I have ever watched a Wycombe match.

I like old, traditional grounds; so our Memorial Stadium and Barnet's
    Underhill are fine by me.
Brighton's Withdean has to be the worst I've known for watching, but for
claustrophic seating and general air of gloom Hereford's Edgar Street
    takes some beating.

Must agree with this. I had the dubious pleasure of visiting this ground in an FA Cup 3rd round game in the early 90's. A cold and wet January afternoon in an open terrace was a miserable experience. The fans were none too nice either. It was a big game for them as we were near the top of the PL at the time so we took our full allocation. All the local thugs for miles around decided to turn up and offer their unique brand of support for the Grecians. Like I said, a miserable experience despite drawing and taking them back to Carrow Road for a good thumping!

Absolutely hated the Withdean. Rocky and I spent a gloomy afternoon down there with our binoculors trying to see some action!
Gillingham away is a complete pit as is the open away end at Stockport.
You're right about Edgar St, Pirate. Rocky couldn't go to Hereford away as he wouldn't fit through the turnstyle

the don valley of rotherham was the worst because of the horrible running track. you can barely see the players.

The FA Cup match at Marlow was pretty Spartan (which may be why they were in the Spartan League).

Fully agree with the comments above about the Withdean - the away seats are the worst ever -eye level with the pitch and about 50 metres away. Also the Don Valley where three sides of the stadium are empty and the away seats are diagonally along way back from one of the corners.

Other horrors include Luton with the leaky roof and tiny seats / leg room, the upper tiers at QPR and Brentford where if you are more than two rows back your view starts at the penalty spot. The away seats at Aldershot where you are fully justified in singing 'my garden shed is bigger than this'. Finally, the old Oxford ground in Headington which was effectively a collection of garden sheds and cages back in the early 90's.

    Happy days ?

Was that Oxford City Chairboy? I went there once. We were 2-0 down with 10 mins to go and won 3-2.

Ron, No I meant the old Oxford United Manor Ground - have not had the pleasure of visiting Oxford City.
