Apologies if this has already been posted, but i couldn't find it. Markus' legacy gets better and better - what an amazing man! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17547804
Sorry to be a miserable so-and-so, but it's Markus, with a 'k'. If you love him so much I'd at least expect you to be able to spell his name.
Thanks for drawing my attention to this...made it a lot clearer. This proves that Markus set us up well financially before his sad death. Good to hear that though the figures sound big, the investment so far is less than they thought. Changing the outstanding debt (investment) to shares is great news. Always intended to be long term, rather than the quick killing that some suggested. Thanks Markus.
The family shouldnt be forgoten takes alot to stay involved in a project to honour your late relative and from what we've seen they are definitly very commited.
Just found this statement after he died: "The welcome that Markus was given when he arrived at the Saints just over a year ago was something that gave him a deep sense of pride and satisfaction. The progress of the Saints was always uppermost in his mind. "He would have wanted to be there when the Saints get promotion to the Premier League. "The well-laid plans for the club that he and the executive chairman [Nicola Cortese] had mapped out over a year ago will continue to be implemented uninterrupted and nothing will change in that regard. "The club will ensure that Markus' wishes are carried out in full. The Saints were Markus' constant preoccupation. He certainly didn't like losing. "And his constant ambition was to see open, attacking football played to the highest possible standard. To Markus, last year was the start of getting the Saints back on the march." I think if we go up he will be there with us; after some of our games I truly believe he is up there helping us out!!! Let's do it for us and for Markus!!! COYR!
Someone on Twitter who had a meeting today at St. Mary's and got to see the Markus Liebherr Lounge and more uploaded a picture from the boardroom today... please log in to view this image Lovely stuff.
