So in effect your happy that your club has a piss poor return on trophy wins because the supporters are more important than the clubs success?

    Seriously?

So you remain a sad sick bastard who has nothing better to do than make insulting comments to the fans of a club who have actually won far far more than you're joke of a team.

Now we may be deluded but we are not stupid. We know just how poor your club's record truly is.

If we were mid table and doing **** all I would, but the majority of my life and our time in the premier league, we've been around the CL spots or in the Europa Spots at least. We've also suffered a massive blow by being relegated and look as though we'd be the next leeds, but we recovered very well and in less than two years we've gone from being right in the **** to being stable, champions league contenders.

I'm also proud of the fact that we got 44k average attendances in the championship, which is pretty ****ing fantastic.

I'd love to win something, but I'm proud to be part of a fantastic fanbase, and also the fact that we have made a name for ourselves in the premier league.

Saying that first place is all that matters is like saying Blackburn have done better and achieved more than us recently as they won the premier league.

But I'd rather be around the CL Spots and just be up in the high end of the premier league, than win something then get relegated the next season.

Anyways, I'm happy with my club and I think we have achieved a fair amount tbh. Of Course I wanna win something but I aint devastated if we don't.

Finishing 5/6th a year after being promoted is a pretty fantastic achievement in my opinion

We have better fans and we don't have to spend high amounts to do well, unlike your club that isn't doing well at all yet is spending a **** load of cash.

Just face it, your club is poorly run for the ambitions it has and has bought all the over rated ****e in the premier league, which is why you're not living up to your expectations.

Your club has won more than any other club, doesn't make it the best really, since you have one of the ****test and most over rated fan bases in the premier league, and whenever another club is doing better than you, you give a history lecture.

  7. Considering you are a Newcastle fan, those comments are very naive and/or arrogant, maybe full of irony too...? Newcastle used to throw money at players left, right and centre in an attempt to get back into the Champions League which is why you ended up in the **** in the first place. Fair play, you guys have now built a team on a limited budget but that is all thanks to the guy who Newcastle fans fling abuse at during games and protest against before/after matches too.

Fair play for gambling on Ba, Arfa and Cabaye who all had interest from bigger clubs but they chose not to gamble <ok>

I would tear the **** out of the start of your comment, something which I've heard dozens of times, but I aint got the patience for that crap anymore.

What I will say is, we've built a team on a low budget because of our last two managers and our excellent chief scout and scouting systems, who found us these gems. We flinged a lot of abuse at Ashley in the past when he was literally taking the piss with a lot of the decisions he's made. Recently he's been getting a bit of respect, certainly no one protesting anymore, because he's admitted he's made some wrong decisions and the system he's started to get the club back stable sounded sensible from the start.

Since he's screwed his head on right, he's not been getting any abuse at all really, and the reasonable Newcastle fans have praised a lot of his ideas for a while. You really shouldn't let the few banners and section of fans that sing those songs, generalise a whole fan base.

Mike Ashley has certainly helped us a lot recently, but the way the team has come together has lead to our recent success, and that's thanks to Hughton, Pardew and Graeme Carr. Ashley is stopping the club from going under, but everything you see on the pitch is thanks to the managers and the scouts.

Yes Ashley has given some of the money back from the players we sold, but sometimes he shows that he knows very little about football or how important certain individuals are to the club. If he knew anything about the squad he'd know that we desperately needed another CB in the summer, and even more so in the Jan transfer window, but he still made us try and hunt for a cheap alternative.

But still, I can't really have too many complaints. My thoughts on him really did rise when we got Cisse, never thought we'd make a big money deal like that.

So yeah, instead of assuming that we all treat Ashley unfairly, know that most Newcastle fans criticise or praise him when he deserves it.

  9. Didn't mean for it to read as all Newcastle fans, I am well aware that it is usually sections. It was more than a small section that didn't want Mike Ashley though <ok>

"I would tear the **** out of the start of your comment, something which I've heard dozens of times, but I aint got the patience for that crap anymore."

I am asumming that comment is aimed at the suggestion that Newcastle threw money at players? If you feel that strongly about it, what makes you think you can make the same accusations towards another club...?

If you meant the "Considering you are a Newcastle fan, those comments are very naive and/or arrogant, maybe full of irony too...?" then fair enough, everyone is entitled to an opinion <ok>

I'm not denying that we've had had periods where our club has been poorly run at all, but that doesn't mean I cannot point out the flaws in other clubs mate.

The period of time where we were poorly run and chucked money at players is in the past. We've turned ourselves around.

The main reason behind my comment is the fact that a lot of people wonder why Liverpool are in this situation. People were expecting Liverpool to be champions league contenders this season and everything, and it's such a big shock to see Liverpool doing this poorly.

It's quite simple - The return of King Kenny was over hyped, most of the signings you've made have been terrible, and you've chucked away far too much money on players that aren't worth their estimated values.

  11. Fair points and I agree with most.

I don't agree that with people expecting us to get into the Champions League this year, I never expected it since it was too big a jump (seems a bit daft saying that to a Newcastle fan...).

Nor do I think Kenny's return was over-hyped, not by most Liverpool fans anyway. We needed someone to come in and steady the ship mid-season, we needed a boost in morale, we needed someone that was a free agent and we needed someone that knew the club. Kenny was the perfect choice. do we expect him to perform miricles? Certainly not.

Agree that we wasted money on Carroll, Adam and Downing but I think Enrique and Suarez were fantastic buys. Henderson and Coates are both young and have showed glimpses of what they are capable of, I am confident they will come good with time, maybe Carroll too but that price tag around his neck is heavy! Doni is a back up keeper and Bellamy was a freebie that has won two player of the month awards at Liverpool this season (if he plays, expect him to score against Newcastle. He has made a habit of scoring against former clubs this season).

Fair enough, you can says that is over £100m but lets not forget the sales of Torres and Babel plus the others that were simply not good enough and needed replacing. IMO, FSG, Kenny and Comolli have given us the basis of squad on which we can build. Not bad for a net spend of just £30m that includes the awful £35m we gave you guys! (£25m too much IMO)

Oh, and our youngsters aren't too shabby either <ok>

Oh look it's this "Tash" Fella again, I thought you'd left? After the incredibly tall woman incident, or was it the "Deliberately giving virus' to other forum users'" that made you go in the first place?
