For years now we have had opposing fans telling us we are in decline. For the most part we simply argue back with the we are still winning titles etc but does anyone think there is any truth is what our rival fans are saying / posting ? I personally think that the current side is weaker than we have become accustomed to but this is mainly due to the fact that we have been spoilt over the years which some excellent individual performers such as Cantona, Ronaldo, Ruud etc and some truly remarkable teams. However the fact that this team is arguably not as good as others does this mean we are a club on the decline. We constantly have our midfield pointed out to us as a weak point but I actually don't think there is too much of a problem here (although I have in the past ) - yes we do lack some creativity when teams park the bus but if you take Scholes out of the picture over a period of time, our midfield has always been about the wingers, which good CM who can do the basics superbly and then give the ball to the them ( for example Keanne, Ince, Butt, Robson - although we are currently missing a Keano type player IMO ). Do we have any posters on here who would agree that we are in decline to a degree or do you just think it's something that gives the ABUs something to hold on to ? How many signings do you think SAF is away from creating another world beating team ? Thoughts PS : check me out with a almost serious post
Yep. Whilst I don't buy into the 'you're in decline' bollocks I certainly think this team is not as good as others we have had over the past due to us as fans being spoilt.
For me we are not as far off being as good as our 2008 team as people make out, one world class attacking midfielder. Not that they are easy to get hold of.
The team that beat Arsenal 8-2 had an average age of about 24. Not a bad foundation to rebuild a team in decline.
There are a number of things in decline at our club.. The pies at old Trafford are no where near as good as they used to be. We have no players with odd facial hair since gaz nev retired..this I think should be made a priority by the manager.. I firmly believe he should bring in people like David James as a facial hair coach an perhaps if our nev can drag himself away from his fancy touch screen tv's he could help in a consulting capacity.. I would also like to see evra grow his Afro to a stupendous size thusly taking the award back from remi Moses .. The quality of the prawn sandwiches are also lacking for my taste, I feel the Marie Rose sauce has a slight imbalance of ketchup and Mayo an more Worcester sauce and lemon juice.
We are in decline. It's undeniable. But we're going to have to decline much more before we are bad enough to win the Champions League again...

They look like extras from poirot.. I hated that kit.. Worst kit we've had.. Looks like a rugby top.. Which actually leads me on something else in decline.. Our kits have been ****e for years.. May have to start a thread on this subject..
