Are up there with the worst set of fans ive seen at the SOL.
They arrived intent on causing trouble last night and a Sunderland fan was stabbed as a result of this. Before the game they were around the stadium mouthing off and they was not a copper in sight. I said to my wife, if they let them lot out the same time as us after the game theyll be Hell on! I only wish she wasnt with me cause id have clipped a few!

Surely the Police must have realised this and held them back for abit after the game. Allowing 7k pi$$ed up scousers out with us was a recipe for disaster!

The Everton fans are well known for carrying knives. I know 3 Boro lads that have all had their faces slashed off Everton fans!

There has been nothing in the echo about anyone being stabbed?

It would be national news if someone had been stabbed.

Depends how bad the wound was. An Everton fan ran past me with what looked like a blade in his hand. A couple of Sunderland fans were chasing him shouting Stop him, he's just stabbed our mate!

Some of the biggest ****'s I've ever met came from Liverpool so I would not be at all surprised.

Although, TBH, I myself have never had any chow with the Everton fans.

Not at all, but we have not got a reputation for carrying blades!
Ive got a number of Football hooligan books, and we hardly get a mention in any. Everton and their use of Stanley knives etc are mentioned quite alot!

Where did I say that then?

What I did say was that I personally had NEVER had any bother off Everton fans.

I never thought there was anyone out there who actually believed anything that was wrote in hooligan books, books wrote mostly by southern drug dealing, criminals who have to lie as much as they can to sell more books. You probably believe what you see on the tv and in the sun/daily mirror/star dont you.

Wouldn't be surprised if Sunderland fans deserve their fair share of blame. Especially when a few fans are head butting Everton fans in the stadium and bragging about it.

From my experience, the hardcore 2,000 (max) Everton fans who normally make the journey to Sunderland have always been pretty well behaved..Obviously the free transport offer has atracted the 'scally' element among the extra 4,000 who made the journey, and this is what has caused the problems...

There have been a number of academic books, sociology and criminology, which highlight football hooliganism - here references to Sunderland as scarce.
