The odd comment of the nature you're talking about would have remained of course in different circumstances. i think it would be a shame to stop posting pictures of our own or your team and vice versa. Six fingers, whatever, is all fine as long as it can be related to the picture. If someone deliberately chooses a photo of someone with six fingers then different story and not acceptable. Rival contributions are welcome but not entitled to win. That's how I'd play it. Once a month we could have a cross board competition with stricter rules about posts so the wit really comes out and possibly with a rule that the winner is decided by vote from a panel of 3 from each club. And that once an Ipswich related image has been posted a Norwich one would have to go up before you could have another Ipswich one and vice versa...
Can I point out that any thread is capable of falling into chaos involving abuse between both sets of fans, not just the caption competition threads.
This. Great idea about a cross board competition too! The Caption Competition is just a weekly bit of fun to exercise a bit of imagination and wit on the pic provided, anyone clicking on the thread(s) simply need to keep this in mind, I was surprised at some of the Budgie comments on our board the other night, as the pic provided gave you lot so much material to work with... you could have done so, so much better!!
