Messi is such a beast. And this Barca team is so perfect. In every big game they seem to perform and outclass their opponents and it seems it could carry on for another 2 or 3 seasons, if Messi stays relatively injury free.
On another note, as great as it is to see Barca dominating and playing football the way they are, it is a bit sad seeing clubs hogging talent. Let's be honest, they've got about 6 players who aren't guaranteed a first team spot that would walk into most other European teams first teams and be key players within that team. Mascherano, Fabregas, Thiago, Pedro, Villa, Keita etc. Same story at Madrid with Higuain, Coentrao, Diarra, Di Maria, Carvalho, Sahin, Albiol etc. Now I'm not being funny but if I was one of these players I'd much rather be a key player at a Liverpool/Chelsea/Juventus/AC Milan/Arsenal etc than just languish on the bench of a Madrid/Barca getting an occasional appearance. Can understand if you're a Owen type player who's lost all physical ability and you are not really capable of being a top level footballer and more of a cheerleader then you'd choose a big club and winning trophies over a regular spot at a smaller club but these are players at the peak of their powers (well, most of them)
Eating it was even dafter Been a good game this and looking forward to watching the Bayern highlights....Robbens on a bit of a role eh and Gomez seems to have rediscovered his scoring touch
Well well Barca have their first goalless game in the comp showed how strong Milan were And it gives the promise of a brilliant game next week Thought that Barca (Messi) had a quite game but saying that Milan were constant in their face and stopped them from playing their usual game
Europa League tonight... Atletico Madrid Vs Hannover 96 on ITV4 & Schalke Vs Athletic Bilbao on Channel 5. Kick-off at 8.05PM. Anyone else gonna be watching it tonight?
Falcao scores, 1-0 to Atletico. 97 goals in a 123 games since moving to Europe. Impressive stuff. 36 in 25 since his 35m euro transfer from Porto to Atletico.
