To be fair he has chucked a lot of mud on our good name - and many believe this will go if he left. Been told a few booed in the last home game. I'm sticking with him.
I've had my moments of frustration with his antics etc. But he is the best attacking player in the team at the moment. I still believe we haven't seen the best of him yet, get someone who can actually score goals beside him and boom! You will see the player we all expected.
He's a luxury player. Very skilful, average passer, woeful finisher. Never understood why Liverpool fans have been prepared to sully the reputation of the club to back him.
Talking about sullying club reputations. Rooney and his granny girlfriends and the brasses he paid at the Lowry Hotel. Giggs banging his brothers wife for years behind his back.
Yeah because 74 in 97 for Ajax and second highest scorer in last years Copa America suggest he's a woeful finisher eh granted not his best season this year but yet again you're attempts at a wind up just make you look like you don't know what you're on about. As per usual.
Some interesting responses. Glad to know we have plenty sticking by him. I really think he would get less stick if we were playing better as a team.
That's true mate but as well I still think he can do his bit in helping us win more by staying on his feet more often and staying 100% focused on his game for 90 mins and not hitting the post so much
I don't recall the manager making a complete ****ing tit of himself by wearing a t-shirt with Rooney or Giggs's images on or making his players follow suit so that the whole world could cringe at the arrogance and stupidity of the whole situation. How many games were Rooney and Giggs banned for by the FA? Situations not comparable Paige.
Yeah...so not exactly a woeful finisher then either eh. If you were making the point that the Dutch league is easier to score in than the prem then I wouldn't disagree with you...but you weren't making that point so...try again.
The Dutch league is easier to score in than the prem, I know you agree. Strikers that aren't clinical are often found out when they move from the Dutch league to a supposedly superior league.
Think I read somewhere on the BBC website that he's hit the post most times in the Prem this season with 7, RVP closely behind Suarez with 6. Bad times
Yes I just said that but do you really have to try and massage your poor little ego every time you write something? Are you at all capable of having a reasonable discussion about football (as it's a football forum)? IMO any fella good enough to score **** loads of goals in any top level league whether it's England, Holland or Slovenia can hardly be described as a "woeful" finisher. So you were wrong on that one. So the next question is do you think Suarez will prove to be a decent goalscorer in the Prem or will he fail to score enough next year to justify our faith in him?
I think his finishing is woeful when under pressure, which he usually is in the PL. Its an opinion which would no doubt be backed up by his chance conversion rate. As it's an opinion that doesn't sit well with some Liverpool fans it's met with hostility but that's fine. Some people said Kenny would struggle in the PL when he took over, others are now coming round to that way of thinking. Having seen Suarez slice, shank and mishit so many chances this season I think he will struggle to ever be a 20 goal a season striker in England. EDIT: quick google search on chance conversion rates http://www.whoscored.com/Blog/frgvw...Leagues-Gulitiest-Culprits-Big-Chances-Missed
Someone not so famous seems not to understand that a 20 goal a season striker only gets his goals due to the quality of service his team mates provide.
As I'm pretty sure Van P was signed for that reason too, Forlan had a decent scoring record in South America, failed in England but I think has at least a goal every other game in Spain so is he still a "woeful" finisher. I don't think so somehow.
