OK Chaps... we now turn our sights to the Sunday game with Liverpool.

It's 1971/2 and 1972/3 season s since we last recorded back to back home wins.

Also worthy of note is the fact that in living memory I can't remember a Liverpool team coming to SJP in such a bad run of form (thankyou for your contribution Mandy).

They will also be focussing on the small matter of a Semi final against their local rivals....

Our last 10 home games are:

2010/11: Won 3-1 Nolan, Barton, Carroll
    2008/09: Lost 1-5 Edgar
    2007/08: Lost 0-3
2006/07: Won 2-1 Martins, Solano (pen)
    2005/06: Lost 1-3 Ameobi
    2004/05: Won 1-0 Robert
    2003/04: Drew 1-1 Shearer (pen)
    2002/03: Won 1-0 Robert
    2001/02: Lost 0-2
    2000/01: Won 2-1 Solano, Dyer

Rumour has it Tiote and Raylor will be back in the side as will Cisse but Colo will be out.

This naturally leaves us short at the back but I can see our starting 11 being something like this:

    Krul

Simpson...... Williamson........Perchinho.........Raylor (Pards is looking to give Santon a rest)

    Cabaye.....Tiote......Jonas

    Ben Arfa....Cisse......Ba

So lads.... as with recent weeks I've created a poll to see what the consensus is in advance of Sunday......

    What's your thought?

I choose win, just because we will all out attack. Being frail at the back might inspire us to go for the all out mentality.

Speaking of David Edgar, anyone remember that screamer he scored? Think it was against Manchester United..?

I remember Edgars goal.... it was class.

I've gone for a win too as I think we'll just be at the mfrom the off.

It will also be good to see the white hot reception Mandy will get..

All in all I'm thinking a tight 2-1 but if it's more than this I'll contemplate cutting off a bit of me....<whistle>

Loss, goals at both ends. We look dreadful at the back without Colo...

Maybe 3-2 after us cruising 3-1 till near the end and taking our foot off the pedal and letting them get one back.

A definite win for us though.

I wonder if Mandy will get booed?

I said before that my best mate is a Liverpool fan, and were going to a Liverpool pub to watch the game.
I can say im particularly looking forward to them all crying, with me having a massive grin on my face. :D

given the recent form I'd say 3-2 as long as we attack from the offset

Voted for Newcastle to win probably 3-2, though wouldn't be surprised it was 2-2, 2-1 or 3-1 to us.

The only way Pool will win is if you let Suarez win a pen, Watch him; he's a slippery one

With Perch and Willo at the back vs Gerrard, Buck Tooth, Bellamy & Mandy?

We'll do very well to win or even draw this one.
