Barton in more trouble..... But you've got to love him for it this time.....

I like Barton, I wish he had shut his mouth in the summer. You can tell he didn't want to go to QPR and expected the club to relent but he pushed it too far. A shame as if he had stayed he would def played for us this season with our injuries. He has lost his bite and he regrets going. We have moved on though and I can't see him staying there if they get relegated but who would-could he go to? Possibly Villa? Maybe Everton? Not sure if Moyes would take his bullshit to be honest

It is refreshing that a player actually still cares about a club, which Barton, in his own bizarre way, did and does.

 

Barton is a twat - but even I said to the fans around me singing "What's the score" that he would hold up "5-1" and he did!! You give him the bait and he will take it without question - they were all saying "He should be done for that" but Martin Smith did it a few years ago for Sheff Utd I think against you guys at your place - you were winning 4-0 and singing "Mackem, what's the score" and he held up 2-1 on his fingers as he was subbed - good banter and good fun - although a tinge of insightment from both players I wouldn't want them punished for it personally

 

It's just interacting with the fans, no harm done, no need to be punished.

 

Remember the game it was 4-1 actually Smith scored for them, to be fair to Smith I remember the Sheff Utd fans singing 2-1 to the Sunderland a lot that day as well. Players do this type of thing a lot remember Phillips making the ****er sign at Newcastle after scoring in the 01/02 season.

 

Remember a pre season friendly against, I think, Darlington a few seasons back where Bellamy was getting some stick. He managed to get past his man down the right and whip a cross in making "****er" gestures the whole time

 

Don't which is more pathetic, Barton or the Mackem's that moaned about Barton.
