Read today on various sports gossip pages, that BZ is not happy at the rangers, and possibly will be moving on in the summer transfer window. If this is true then this love affair did not last to long, Looked on the rangers board, and there is a thread along this line. " Whats the saying about the grass being greener "
Bobby will never be happy... Reminds me of a kid's programme on tv with elfs never being happy... Glad we got rid of him. Too much noise for nothing!
Can't blame him for wanting to move, who would want to play Championship football after years of success with a good Premiership team. Glad he's somebody else's problem now.
We have moved on from Zamora, there's no need to gloat now that he's someone else's problem. I imagine Sparkles will have more pressing matters to worry about than Zamora, such as their record of only two wins since he took charge, or them having to fare without their star striker for the next four games. Zamora was never going to be a striker to keep you in the league, he is a luxury player, not a grafter. I don't imagine he will remain there next season if QPR are relegated, especially if West Ham earn promotion and come calling for his services. We all know how much Allardyce likes the hoof-ball stuff.
I'm not going to deny it, Sparky and Bobby in the mire does make me happy. But like Banders says, not our problem anymore, onward and upward.
QPR in the mire makes me happy; Bobby in the mire doesn't. If he goes down and stays with QPR, he'll score goals - despite everybody saying 'he's never been prolific', he WAS prolific outside of the Premier League - 76 goals in 125 games for Brighton, including 14 in one season for a side struggling against relegation from the Championship. I won't let the sour end to his time with us spoil the happy memories. Good luck Bobby, wherever your career takes you next.
Captain, you've got to agree that the mood, spirit and dynamics of the team have changed completely since he left (for the better)?
I do see where the Captain is coming from. Bobby was loved by us for a big part of his time with us, and that's not something we should forget too hastily. I admit I'm quick to point and laugh but at one point I had a lot of time for him. Sparky, however, can suck my fat one.
Quite an interesting article on the QPR board, under the posting Cisse & Zamora,by Goldhawk. If his facts are true it makes interesting reading.
Bobby Zam was a decent player for us, poor players don't get sold for £6 million these days. His attitude not ability was the main problem though, if a player is unhappy off the pitch, he's not happy on it either. If Bobby was 100% happy to stay at FFC I would have loved him to have, but according to reports he was the cancer in the dressing room and unfortunately we had to get every penny we could for him from QPR. I do however have respect for him not coming out with rubbish about Fulham once he left. I felt one of those 'I Had To Leave FFC' articles was just around the corner...
Completely agree about Bobby, Captain. I was going to stay out of this one until I read Bandit's assertion that "he is a luxury player, not a grafter". Suffice to say, I would take issue with that statement. Pound for pound (in every sense) Bobby Zamorra served us well - my only regret is because of that leg break we never got a chance to see how he and Dembele would have flourished during season 10/11.
I was referring to his performances for QPR, not Fulham. I have seen some of QPR's games since his arrival and he really just cannot be bothered to make the slightest effort. If you get the ball to him in the six yard area then great, if not, then he's no going to be on the end of it.
I can only wish with Bobby well. He had a hard-time from some fans early-on, but grew in the team, until the injury and then becoming negative at MJ which undermined him performances and looking elsewhere. Pity he went to Sparky (but that guy is a different case altogether).
Absolutely, Craving. I didn't say I wish he was still here, just that I wish him well in his future endeavours. I'm not one for holding grudges.
