....... Saints will bottle it, we wont survive in the PL, Nicola is off, the Liebherrs will sell the club, we are in debt, we wont beat the Skates, just go and put on a blue shirt and join the losers down the road. As you have been taken in hook line and sinker by their poisonous banter you might as well go and join them.

If you need things to worry about then they have worries a'plenty for you.

    For those of us who:

    are confident in our players,

have the utmost respect for Nicola and the prudent way he runs the club,

honour the memory of Markus and the promises he made about the club,

recognise what a decent honest man Nigel is and

understand what superb things are happening at this club

We shall don the red and white shirts which are the true colours of Hampshire men and Englishmen everywhere, hold our heads up, puff out our chests, stiffen our backbones and we shall go forward confidently into the future with our heads and hearts full of confidence and great cheer. The future is Red and White.

We shall leave despondency and despair to the blue phew they have had plenty of practice at handling it.

    It's triumphant Godders today!

It's strange, with all the things we should worry about, as the Blue phew as you have strangely spelt it, no-one seems that phased by it any more. So we would like more fans, but only those of a happy go lucky nature, if that's ok.

I could argue that, due to sheer weight of numbers of course, a lot more toxicity comes our way, rather than the reverse, but it's not a major problem. We can handle it.

The penultimate para Godders, I think you got from Enid Blyton! Or Churchill?

Speaking of poison and Churchill, have you ever read the famous quote from a conversation between the great statesman and Lady Nancy Astor? It's a hoot!

“Lady Nancy Astor: Winston, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea.
Churchill: Nancy, if I were your husband, I'd drink it.”

To be honest, I'm actually wondering who you're is posting to, St Godders..? You can't be aiming at people on this site, so why post it here..? Yes, we have a few who have a funny feeling about things, or don't want to tempt fate, but that's about it. I think most are onside and supporting Saints on their way, safe in the knowledge that whatever they think makes not a jot of difference to the team's performance, just so long as they cheer in all the right places. That's our job. Anything else is speculation and opinion.

I know channel 4 had a live autopsy, but a live post mortem?

Perhaps toxicology though...he did mention skates and poisonous batter, but the effects seem to be an increased rumbustiousness

I browsed a number of threads earlier today before I went out and there were several people who seemed to think we were not going to make it for all sorts of reasons so I felt a morale lifting epistle was needed.

Theres a few who are just not taking it for granted, but are being pigeon holed as negative doubters. We need to just do things our way I guess, but we must not be too quick to jump on people for just saying how they feel, & that is whats starting to happen.

The problem I have with it is that "the way they feel" is just not rational.

We're top, have been pretty much the whole season, and we've hit an excellent run of form just at the right time. I think expecting the team to **** it up is pretty disrespectful to them, to be honest.

OK, fine by me. Obviously we all read into things slightly differently. I just think that, by and large, they're all a pretty level headed bunch on here. This isn't TSW or UI, where catastrophes happen if some academy player bumps a big toe, and neither is it anything like The [Portsmouth] News or the [Southampton] Daily Echo forums. I don't how many people took any notice of the bad rumours spread by anyone with an interest in doing so, but I bet it was only a tiny percentage, who gave them any credence, from here.

As for Saints last seven games, and the waverings of people who see an animal trap in every minute of the forthcoming games, neither You, nor I will not be able to convince them otherwise, and you must have seen that I've tried to calm them. I feel...hang on, let me restate that... I KNOW the status of the Club is in the Club's hands and nobody else's. Not Me, not You, not fairies at the bottom of the garden, not little green men [or John Carter] of Mars. Saints will be Champions/be Promoted, or not, by their own efforts, while we sit on the sidelines, watch them do it, and cheer them on.

Perhaps one could point out last seasons consistent rebuttals of Huddersfield's unbeaten run as a sign that we have the players to cope with this situation? I'll admit to being nervy, but then I was last season. I just want the club to be successful and will get behind them to ensure it!

If some are a little less gung-ho today, it's just because West Ham didn't read the script and actually won a game. I believe we didn't play last night and therfore did not lose or draw. No change, it's all in our own hands.
