Alright lads I know some of you are pissed off with cisse and rightly so and some don't want to see him play for us again but what if we go down? And let's be honest looks very much like we will, do u not think cisse and Zamora would smash the championship? When they have played together they have looked decent, against championship defenders there get a lot of goals and cisse owes us that big time. Not saying were down but thinking ahead just incase we do.
If we are not in the Prem I cannot see either of them hanging around .. or being allowed to hang around at the wages they are on.
QUOTE Goal.com understands that Zamora is one of a number of signings at Loftus Road who does not have a relegation wage-drop clause in his contract, with fellow January arrivals Djibril Cisse and Nedum Onuoha believed to have similar deals. Zamora joined QPR from Fulham in a £6 million switch on the final day of the last transfer window but he is already plotting his next move after being disappointed by what he perceives as a lack of professionalism at the club. The 31-year-old earns £70,000-a-week and is ready to force owner Tony Fernandes to let him leave for nothing should Mark Hughes’ side finish in the bottom three this season. Zamora will focus on trying to score goals in the remainder of the season but is making plans for next season as Rangers sit 18th in the Premier League, with a daunting run of fixtures to come against the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and both Manchester clubs. “QPR won’t have a choice but to let Bobby leave for nothing if they go down,” a source told Goal.com. “The financial burden will be too much if he threatens to sit on his contract. They are in a real, real mess." Bobby Zamora is 8/1 with Sportingbet to score the first goal for QPR against Arsenal on Saturday. Zamora, who would expect to pocket a hefty signing-on fee, is understood to favour a return to West Ham if is his former club are promoted from the Championship. Most Premier League clubs insert clauses in players’ contracts to cut their salaries by up to half in the event of relegation, but QPR face a financial catastrophe having failed to follow suit. Fernandes, the Malaysian businessman who bought the club for £100m last August, is understood to be ‘desperately panicking’ about the situation, which could have a huge impact on his personal finances. Rangers would receive parachute payments in the event of relegation - starting at around £18m - but will be left with the wage bill of a top 10 Premier League club. UNQUOTE Just hope the bit about TF "desperately panicking" is not true. He's been mad if it is, because it was always a possibility that we'd go down. Can't believe he'd be such a gambler not to have a plan B.
Zamora is an idiot, simply put. I have absolutely no idea why Fernandes paid that much for him. Bobby needs to be maligned, ridiculed and written off before he pulls his finger out and does something. Once he starts getting praise then he just seems to switch off - mix in an England cap, a £6m transfer fee and £70k (seriously????!) a week, and you've got a big problem.
Exclusive - QPR chief admits he is planning for relegation âWeâve got to be real, itâs tough in the Premier League,â the 47-year-old told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. âI came in at the start of the season with wide open eyes thinking we could go down. The first game I watched was a 4-0 loss to Bolton, so Iâm a realist. âIf we go down weâll have to deal with it. Itâs a long-term project though, we are building a great team with the backroom staff and the squad weâve got. Weâre developing the academy and weâre making plans for a new stadium. âWeâll have some setbacks and if we go down, we go down. But Iâm resolute, I love what weâre doing and once you put a good structure in the results will come.â http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/1595/64/exclusive-qpr-chief-admits-he-planning-relegation Doesn't seem to be panicking too much, if you ask me. And for the news Zamora wanting to get out, it was denied yesterday by his agent, i'd think he'd know what his client is up to, atleast better than Goal.com. And as for the contracts having no wage cut/relegation clause, that was also denied by the club representatives, such as P Beard. Could perhaps be true for some individual player...
There is no way you can have a player on 70k in the championship it's just ridiculous and irresponsible!
those suspected wages were also denied to be true by the club, don't know where the "news" reporters take them. do they have unlimited access to the players contracts? most of it surely a load of bulls**t
I may be wrong but don't companies have to declare salaries? I seem to recall in the past being told there were x number of employees who earned over so much and you could narrow things down from the number of employees and the sizes of the salaries...
I don't think private companies have to disclose specific salaries Even public companies seem to be able to conceal the salaries and bonuses of their top people - eg banks
