Would you Adam n Eve it? For a club with no players and supposedly doomed you sure know how to twist and turn. Great result for you and one which helps to make our little game a bit more interesting.
Can't fault the commitment. They should have gone a log time ago but this is when talent really shines through.
Reading the report they fully deserved the win. Problem they have is keeping their form with such a small squad. Be good to see them survive and stay up wouldn't it.
i have to admit acouple of weeks ago it looked over and done with, but a win saturday could possibly see us out of the relegation zone which would be a remarkable turn around. theres still much work to be done, but it is possible, and there is hope. i dont think as emotional as it will be, our game at scum will truly determine our fate, there will still be an awful lot to play for beyond local pride which 2 before the birmingham game i didnt think would be the case. we also hav to consider our goal difference is far superior to those around us. i was also at the leicester - forest game tonight and after seing forest sit back and play for the draw from 20 minutes in it looks like cotterill might have somehow salvaged some relative safety, which might help us come last day of the season (if its still going)if they have nout to play for. looks very much like 3 from 4 now.
Funny how being stuffed by the team that is bottom can do that to some. They can see their play-off hopes dwindling. Northerners just can't take the heat can they? First us and now the blue half of Hampshire.
It's strange. Matches against Bristol City and Coventry City yield a single point and yet we beat Birmingham and Hull, both of whom have aspirations of playing in the Premier League next season. As Greavsie would say; "It's a funny old game..."
Well done guys on that result. I think bragging rights will probably take a back seat on the 7th of April now, as 3 pts for each of our teams is becoming crucial. Bragging if any can be done at the end of the season when the pressure if off and the hard work done.
Ive supported Pompey for 16 years, over that time by blood has slowly turned Pomepy Blue - forever the optimist! PTID!
Come back in 30, if I'm still around and we'll see! Seriously I do try to be upbeat, for the most part I manage it.
