No, I'm going to agree, we've only seen flashes of him, he's not as quick either, I think he holds back from top speed fearing injury.
I'm watching Benfica/Chelsea and I get the feeling that if Benfica just score one they will get more and so will we. Just get that breakthrough Spurs.
yeah you could well be right there notso. for me, it's just frustrating that he's gaining more and more experience, but seems to have a confidence issue on the pitch. maybe it's me and i'm on my own with this, but every time he's up against a defender he doesn't think he's "better" than, we wont see him play his pacey game against them. it's like he builds up this wall in his head that if he takes that player on, he'll get tackled. so, as a result, he does his little "run-sideways" across the box all game, before ultimately making a poor ball which we do not gain from. the reality, is that he's just about quicker than anyone, so why isn't he just taking them on? so what if he gets tackled? he's every fullback's worst nightmare and no one can contain him for 90 mins with out getting booked. when the full back gets booked, their game then has to change and it works in our favour. that's what's frustrating me most. all pace, and not using it most of the time.
All of our width is coming from the full-backs, now. We've got too many players trying to do the same thing in the middle.
