But you cant take Sunderland out of the lad, Me born in Millfield, been around the world,,,,lots,,,, now married for 12 years to an Ashington lass, and living in Ellington. Dont feel the need to move back to Sunderland, but go there three times a week, family, doctors, mates etc. I know there are loads of folks out there who feel the same. So who are you and where are you, and do you feel the same?
When did you move back to Blighty mate? Missed that, thought you were still on the continent... Did you settle back in quickly?
just waiting for x rays and physio, should be back in the game in three months or so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I hope.
Me I'm sitting next to my ale-cabinet, just outside of Oslo, waiting to stream tonights game. My second spell in Norway, heading fast towards my pension and just couldn't handle it any more back home. Visits, my first grandson, shopping and a few games bring us back 3/4 times year. I'm loud and proud about Sunderland, .......... but I aint coming back. I've a standard of life here that just cannot be matched - and believe "I'm worth it" LOL I can even get good British ales at a reasonable price just over the border in Sweden The ONLY thing I miss is my seat in the East Stand near the half way line - I really mean the ONLY thing. Must admit that I've got the good life (touch wood) over here. Too nervous to open my first bottle - can't rememember such nerves. Ah b*gger it think I'll try and Old Speckled Hen oi and no bestiality comments please LOL Less than an hour now Haaawayawayawaaay the lads - one big effort - NO PENNERS PLEASE !!!!!
well Bill had a few whiskeys already, to steady my arse from twitching before the match, love it here, and only come back for matches and relatives, an hours flight nowt, unlike home, ive never had any bother from drunks, never had my car vandalized or broken into, including the house, healthier standard of living, shed loads of weight here, had to buy a new wardrobe of kit, the only thing pulling at me to move is our lass to Kenya, already turned down a good job there, with house and car but on reflection wish i had taken it now. far cry from a young boy growing up in Sunderland, but never miss a match, as i have satellite for 8 country's so can always find it, If i was back home id probably be as fat as **** unhealthy, and arrested for having a go, at a skunk can thief.
Nice one Rog, on an aside, got a dozen Sunderland shirts ish, from over the last twenty or so years. time for them to go. So your enterprise can ave em, just need the details.
