    I cant see them getting Istanbul ready in time and will be an empty venue - AGAIN! I agree that we should not go back to Bahrain but this should have been decided last year, not a few weeks before the race is due! Typical Bernie!

    I puzzled over that myself, Max. I imagine Sheikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa means you can't guarantee spectators' safety at Silverstone, either, and Bahrain is no more dangerous than anywhere else.

    F1 really shouldn't be going there. I don't know how much they're paying but is it really worth the risk... and thats ignoring the human factor of whats going on there.

    No, Bernie owns it. Would be interesting to see if he is eager to pay the same to FOM for hosting the race at Paul Ricard as he forces other tracks to pay.
