....We all seem to have opinions on our current form, mine have been voiced. Whilst not happy (as many others) maybe we should look at the positives of the season. 1. Silverware. Ok it maybe the Carling cup, but a trophies a trophy at the end of the day. 6 year wait over, and a semi final to look forward in April at Wembley. 2. Martin Skrtel. The man is big, would run through a walk and has a harder tackle than a porn star. But this year he has developed into a top class defender look accomplisied at the back along side Daniel Agger. 3. Jose Enrique. One of the best signings of last summer, gives us an extra dimension on the left hand side. 4. Lucas Levia. Before his injury, the best holding midfielder in the league. 5. Louis Suarez. Simply top class, a little genius and a handful for any defence. Harshly treated by the ignorance of the English FA. 6. Steve Clarke. Kenny's right hand man, shrewd and has made us a more stronger team defensively. 7. NESV. Taking the club in the right direction finacially, superb deal on a new kit, progress on the stadium and not afraid to invest when required. John Henry is here for the long term, which can only be good for the club. 8. The Reserves. Mainly made up of our youth academy prodigee's. The likes of Sterling,Coady,Ngoo and others are developing rapidly and can only improve our squad. Just a few reasons to be cheerful, I like many am not happy about our league form, had my rant and have moved on.
Positives Got the king back, made some good signings, Suarez, Enrique, Bellamy. Lucas will be back soon. Some of the new players that have underperformed are looking better in recent weeks. We have good owners for the first time in donkey's years, expect investment in playing staff during the summer. Carling cup, F.A cup. Negatives Inconsistent in league. Poor home form. League position. Last few performances have been dire. Things can only get better.
Well said mate Good points made too. Martin Skrtel I'm very happy with, the man is a beast, I just wish we would stick Coates along side him while Agger is out so he's playing on his favored side. When Lucas comes back he'll be like a new signing
Would like more from Suarez though, little bit to selfish around goal, and does not convert enough chances. Maybe this is down to needing better players around him, players that are more on his level. Still think he would be better used as a deep lying forward, behind a classic number 9.
5. Louis Suarez. Simply top class, a little genius and a handful for any defence. Harshly treated by the ignorance of the English FA. Is this a pisstake or are you serious. I do apologise if you are being serious but I must ask how he has been a positive. Hes missed many games because hes not the brightest ****** around aswell as always being just one moment away from anoher ban.
He has done well in his first full season. Don't want to start talking about the ban again, but hopefully he learnt his lesson and has moved on. Typically you would expect a new player to perform best once they have settled. Think we will see him at his best next year, hopefully along with some of the other new players too.
I was referring to his ability to get banned for many things. The guy is a top notch footballer but he really needs to curb his behaviour. Hes not exactly a nasty player but he has it in him to do something stupid and Kenny is a big enough man to teach it out of him. It will never go ( think Rooneys temper ) but can be controlled.
Evra issue aside, he has not done too much wrong, constant claiming for imaginary decisions and a bit of diving is a bit annoying though. No worse than Rooney. Get those red-tinted specs off!
He was a victim of an organisied witchunt by the media and FA. The FA used him to get one up manship on FIFA. Evra is a lying scumbag, as shown in previous incidents and his respect for his country shown at the last world cup..However the FA are built on lies and have been sucking United's plums for years.
he is not only top class. he is also super class. his skills and performance was the reason why your ageing manager ask liverpool to "never play him again".
