lol, can't wait for Lawro's prediction for this one -

    Newcastle vs Liverpool -

Liverpool are the best team in the premier league, they've just been unlucky.

*A page full of bullshit about Liverpool and **** all about Newcastle*

    Newcastle are **** lolooololololololololol.

    Newcastle 0-4 Liverpool.

To be fair Lawro is also usually favorable to home teams so he will say Newcastle 1-2 Liverpool.

He said he was going for a scan and he probably will miss Liverpool. He said it would be a risk to play against Liverpool and it's one he's not going to take as it could lead to him being for the rest of the season.

From what I read the papers yesterday, no chance vs Liverpool, not sure about Swansea, hopes to be back within 2-3 games.

    no one knows

best case is 10 days but they're waiting for the results of a scan. Pardew has mentioned 2 - 3 games

    Really, FFS.
Hopefully we can still get results, with him out.
Liverpool & Swansea are huge games for us.
All out attack, with us edging it. 3-2 :)
I really think Agent Carroll will score, it's got it written all over it.

To be quite honest, Carroll would be winning headers in the air even if we played Saylor. Carroll composure most of the time is **** and he missed loads of chances, but he's fantastic at winning things in the air and knocking them down.

I'd say it's more likely Carroll outjumping Willo and Suarez or Gerrard scoring from the knock down really.

That's fair enough to be honest, Gerrard always seems to score against us.
Hopefully Williamson will put in a sterling performance and completely outwit Suarez and also out muscle Carroll in the air. ;)

    Ps.

    Welcome back Tash :)

I just hope Pardew isn't stupid and decides to play a high line. I know we should be going all out to attack, but playing a high line would **** us up big time.

    And thx

    I BELIEVE IN JAMES PERCH.

The Mansfield Zanetti will shore it all up folks, don't worry about that. The boy has come on leaps and bounds. It's the one who's been in our team for months now that I'm worried about <laugh>

I think we should just go with the same line up as last time out, two defensive midfielders protecting that questionable backline and then let Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Ba and Cisse get their groove on.

I remember the Florists almost in hysterics when we signed him. Wonder would they have him back now

" I can cover for Colo" Perch's statement on the back page of the Chronicle.

Losing our skipper Fab is a big blow, but we will battle on to keep chasing our European dream".

Now that I've though about it, I really believe in Perch and Willo.

Willo should be better in the air for his height, but he is enough of a presence to do his job I suppose.

I'd say Perch would be first in line to cover Colo every time for me, because Perch is more like Colo to me.

Perch is quick for a CB, and is good at tackling and his movements are quite quick as well. He's also improved the tactical side of his game a lot and isn't getting skinned as easily.

If we had Saylor and Colo got injured, I'd rather Perch played in Colo's place than Willo, and If Saylor got injured and we still had Colo, I'd pick Willo over Perch because we'd need more of an aerial presence.

Perch and Colo wouldn't be a particular strong pair, Saylor and Willo as a pair would lack that pace and the players are too similar.

Perch is the CB that's most like Colo.

    We can do it!

I agree with this. Although in the summer, I'd like us to sign a CB who does both to cover both of them, before Willo/Perch.

I'm sorry, but i have no faith in Willo. He's too error prone, and never seems to admit culpability for his mistakes. Perch has won me over, he's playing really well at the moment, but the fact remains this; He isn't Colo, and is nowhere near Colo's level.

To be honest, with how Liverpool are, I'm more confident of us beating you than a team like Wigan.
