Please don't get on my back about this as I'm just giving an objective opinion Does anyone think that what happened to Fabrice Muamba, whilst it will have a profound effect on those who know him and were playing that day, it may also Save Bolton from Relegation? It appears that the side have much more purpose now and they appear to be doing it for him and it seems to have given them the kick they needed. Glad to see the lad is recovering but I honestly think Bolton may have gone down had this not happened OI saw them prior to the event and they were disorganised and gutless - now - I think they will stay up by fighting for him... Strange how things work out - I may be wrong of course but from watching their performance last weekend I can see they have much more heart and drive
You could well be right Marcus. Having something to focus on, tragic as it is, could pull the team together. It's just a shame it had to be that.
The fans made an unbelievable atmosphere on Saturday and the team responded, but once the whole thing blows over and the atmosphere return to normal, it will be back to square one for Bolton. In the least it has gained them a valuable 3 points.
Depends on tonight's game, going back to where it all happened, could prove to have a negative affect on the player's. I think the team's below them in the league will see them staying up anyway, if anyone out of the 3 to spring a suprise would be Wigan.
I said exactly the same thing, this has galvanized them and they look stronger united. I would have had them dead certs for the drop with Wolves but not so sure now
I wouldnt want to call any ref a cheat but if the muamba thing hadn't happened i bet that foul on hoillet would have resulted in a penalty. Little things like this make a massive differance. That ref last night bottling giving a penalty against Man Utd may well just decide who wins the league
