The title says it all...as of today 31 points behind the leaders, 17 points above QPR and the drop zone. After the initial excitement over 'King' Kenny coming back and Liverpool challanging for the title in a few seasons time, is anyone going to finally admit that Liverpool just aren't doing particularly well and the goal over the next few seasons should be to stop trying to make big money (ill-informed) signings and concentrate on building a solid team capable of challanging for a Europa spot? Kenny hasn't exactly covered himself in glory in my opinion...his time out of the game shows, he just hasn't moved with the times and the trust liverpool fans have in him is going to be their downfall. You need a new manager. My mate has just finished running a local sunday league team, shall I give him a bell?
Harsh. We have underperformed in the league, hopefully Kenny will be backed in the summer transfer market and address some of our issues, goalscorer etc. If we fail to deliver next term, then would be the time to seriously assess Kenny's position. Way to early to give up on Kenny yet. But that's just my opinion. Said the same about Rafa and he got the boot, so who knows?
Highly unoriginal fail. You're like the last spotty wee fecker to the party, all your chat up lines have been used by someone else and even the ugly girls aren't drunk enough to take you seriously. Go home, knock one off, cry yourself to sleep.
Don't know who it is tbh? The last part was quite a cheap shot. They only fish here, because we bite, and we only bite because we care. Take it as a compliment.
lol, I've got the day off work today (other fans have jobs you know) so thought I'd wind up a few bottom feeders before I head out down the beach to read my book (you guys should try it) and have a bottle of ale or two (like Tesco value larger, only in a bottle with a nice taste). Dirtyfrank; good advice, I think I will knock one out before I head out, get me even more relaxed for the day ahead on the beach. I was going to insert a typical 'mum' joke in relation to my masturbation session, but I guess you can't really find them offensive if you don't know who your mum is. Seriously though, I wouldn't have posted this reply if it wasn't for the replies I had to my first post. As for Baz's sensible reply, all I'd say to that is Kenny has already been massively backed in the transfer market; would you trust him with another £100m based on this season's signings?
Yes, it's the only way. Back him, or sack him. Fully expect him to be given a war chest in the summer. A largde proportion of LFC fans stand fully behind him, despite the fact we have under performed. Edit, don't forget half the money was the Torre$ ca$h, and we dramitically reduced the wage bill. The new owners have not really put there hand in there pocket yet, but they will, a percentage of the sponsorship money can be used for starters
What acne, bad luck with girls or masturbation? Oh wait you mean guidance counselling to people like the OP and yourself: for self esteem issues and personality disorders? Let's say the experience is growing; might even take it up professionally How does Dewuminisation sound as a treatment?
CPofL, this Frank character looks like he's willing to go all day, despite knowing that he's being WUMmed. Which is kind of a bit weird, but I feel we owe him now to keep him from committing suicide in his 1 bedroom flat for another day. It's grim up in Liverpool, poor chap. Add to that the whole 'closer to the drop than the top' issue and he's probably on a knife edge at the moment. I'll take some guidance then Frankybaby. You've got me till lunchtime; council away. Some background info to get you started; when I was about 8 I saw an intoxicated man (that means twatted on smart price cider to you) in a Liverpool shirt being sick whilst squatting down having a poo in public. And my favourite sweets are Revels. I even like the coffee ones, crazy I know.
Come on now Foredeck, if you're going to type a reply and let me know I've got to you at least make some sort of attempt at an insult. Otherwise that really is a waste of space. Go away or try to overcome the almighty Helmatron with a considered, well constructed come-back. To be fair you can start of easy and work your way up. I'll give you a free freebies: 'Bummer', 'Spaztard' (that's a new one I came up with myself, it's pretty awesome and I'm going to be pushing for it to get into the English Dictionary, with the definition being along the lines of 1. A person of less than average inteligence 2. Somebody who likes the taste of windows 3. Supporters of LFC) or 'Gaylord' (A personal favourite that was doing the rounds when I first started school). Fire away.
To be honest I was not massively in favour of having Kenny back, he'd been out the game for a while, didn't do great at Newcastle or Celtic and had a massive transfer Kitty by early 90's standards at Blackburn. I don't want to sack him though, he should be given another season to prove himself. Quick turnovers of managers are not the way forward. Despite the league position, i reckon we have made progress. We have nowhere near as much ****e in the squad as we did pre-summer, and the tem is better to watch than it was under Woy. I think there have been 4 games this season that we deserved to lose, being the 4-0 Spurs, 3-0 Man City, 3-1 Bolton and the loss to Wigan at the weekend (which we could have easily got away with a draw). If we had a 25 goal a season striker some of those other losses could be converted to wins, as could some of the silly draws and we could find ourselves nearly 20 points better off. Granted we are on a bad run of form a the moment which is attracting all the attention, but in reality i think we are only 2-3 quality buys away from top 4 again. I honestly can't see us making similar transfer mistakes to last summer again. I have issues with Kennyspost-match interviews and occasionally baffling team selection, but I won't be calling for his sacking - its not right. And we shouldn't shift expectations either, we are not as far away as the table suggests.
Campbell, Fair reply. Merry-go-round manager situations never work out particularly well I agree, but although Kenny may make steady progress I just can't see him taking you on to title challangers for the reasons you've stated; I can't see him at his age suddenly making that step up to become a better manager. What 2-3 quality buys would you make? I still think Carroll, despite being massively massively overpriced and sporting a seriously bad haircut which any child molester would be proud of, could score some serious goals given the right supply. Question is though, does he fit in with the way Pool fans want to see their team play?
