    dai is 100% spot on.

the priority for swansea should be to spend the new found wealth wisely, that means investing the money so that you stay up for years to come. improving the academy especially with EPPP coming in, plus you have a manager in BR who is first and foremost a coach, and is not afraid to use players from the academy. buying quality players in should be the second priority, or joint first seeing as its imperative swansea stay in the league, which i think they will next season (for the 2013/4 campaign).

i wonder where why all these so called fans who have always been fans but havent bought season tickets for years but now that swansea are in the premiership feel hard done by? where were you last season, or even before that? of course if the finances stack up then the club should exploit any extra demand but if relegation was to occur you'd have alot of empty seats..

But almost every team faces relegation unless they get enough points, perhaps we shouldn't go for an academy either as it costs about £2m a year to run, just in case we relegated next season or the one after or the one after, or perhaps in the next decade ?

The timing is good for an academy as we have the money now, the timing is good for expansion as we have the money now. Do we wait until the timing is bad to invest the money ?

If we sit with this money in the bank we perhaps earn circa 2%-3% interest at best, if we invest say £15m in an expansion to a 35k stadium and we fill that to 90% capacity for our games we get a ROI of about 35% a year, within 3 years the return will more than pay the investment. Sitting with the money in the bank will in fact lose us money as inflation is about 8%-10% .

I am sure Morgan and other directors will be looking at those kind of figures and calculating whether we go ahead. It's their decision they are businessmen and they know what they are doing.

99, That's a ridiculous comment. I always plan the games I want to go to when the fixture list comes out. I then refine this with my son's football fixture list than we know which games we will go to. But the problem is, as everybody knows, without a season ticket the only means you can get first dibs on tickets is by being a Jack Army member, which me and my son are. But what irks me is that the is virtual no way I will get a home tickets and any high profile away game. The points system for Everton started at 80+ points now that practically works out seeing EVERY game.

So how you can say to plan properly and you will get tickets easily then you must be on first name terms with the tickets office or you have amassed a huge amount of points.

why is it ridiculous??????? its up to the individual to plan ahead and if you have problems doing that then tough luck, the club is not responsible on whether your son may or may not be playing football and you cant decide whether to by a ticket or not, its not the clubs problem, if you want to travel to see the swans then organise it at a date you can manage. nobody cares and the club wont change for individuals...... if you miss out on tickets then thats just too bad, its your own problem....

99, Now I know what everybody else says to talk total crap!!!!!!!!! So I assume then you go to EVERY game and a season tickets holder? As with the Jack Army membership, this is the only way to get tickets. So and example for Newcastle tickets you need 95 points to get first option on tickets so that means going to EVERY game so far this season. I do plan my games that I'm able to go to, but the way the club have done the membership it's stacked heavily against the fans like myself and there are may on this forum who are in the same boat as me.

You seem to think your better than everybody else.

I feel for you neveroffside and this is why we need more seats.

Its right that fans who have travelled to many away games get priority over others but its also harsh on you as you cant make most games for a very good reason

The problem with the points system is that if you can't go to games you can't accumulate points to buy tickets in the first place, kinda like banging your head against the wall. I had to sit in the away end in 3 away games through getting tickets through a couple of friends there. I am lucky though at least I got a season ticket, so many have missed out!

I remember saying , after Wembley, that more season tickets should have been held back so they could be distributed in a more versatile manner in pieces .

I've given up getting home tickets, away tickets from me only now. I've sat many times with the home supporters and they've been very friendly.

dont blame me because you have a problem getting tickets, thousands of us manage without any problem to get tickets for any match, you have to plan ahead like we do and if you cant or wont do that then im afraid its your problem. its easily done get in early and get your ticket, the club dont care if you dont know if you are working or have something on that day....why should they. you have the responsibility and not the club if you want a ticket or not....thats the way it is.....

I remember saying , after Wembley, that more season tickets should have been held back so they could be distributed in a more versatile manner in pieces .

the problem with that is the club needs to know where they stand, they give plenty of notice and reduced rates if you can get your ST early. even when they go on general sale you still get fans waiting till the last minute and they lose out. christ you can even buy in installments so nobody has any excuses. tickets are there when they are advertised and if you really truly want one then you should know what to do to get one. The club bends over backwards to make sure and inform fans when they are available and if you are to slow then tough you will know next time....

Do you really think the club figured they'd have problems selling out Super , there's been a dull roar about trying to get tickets all season . It would have been way more fair & way more profitable , as the club would have made more selling more seats in pieces .

they have not filled every seat this season only the big games, if anyone wants a ST for next season then get in now. i only got one gripe about this seasons ST when they went out on sale before the season started and that was they sold them to anyone and did not check if they were genuin fans or out to make a fast buck. They know about what happened so it should be better organised this time, dont leave it to the last minute though....

The Premier League fixture against Everton at the Liberty Stadium has sold out.

Remaining home tickets for the game against David Moyes's side on Saturday, March 24 (3pm) have now been snapped up.

It continues the excellent support from the Jack Army, with every home game selling out this season.

they say its sold out because of ST sold, there are a lot of seats available that are rarely used, this is the part where the club must get right.

i call them the phantom army ST holders who sell the big games easily but dont bother with the rest. have a look around the stadium the next time they announce a full house and see the amount of empty seats scattered all around the stadium....this should never be allowed and hopefully they will have sorted this ticket scam out once and for all....

But they cannot resell a seat already sold, no matter what your feelings are on it, and how will they sort it out? How do you know who is selling the seats onto others?

and thats my point valley, the club made an error of judgement in selling season tickets to anyone on the phone without checking if they were genuine fans or not, I would be suspicious if i was getting 25 or so calls from ireland wanting to buy 2 ST and that sort of thing happened all over the country and that caused a hell of a problem for genuine fans who left it late to get their ST's......OK the administration were green and did not know as this was our first season but fair play to the club they are aware of these scams for next season and are better prepared but i do urge fans to try and get in early as you can ......pay in installments if you have to.

At clubs like Spurs ST holders are allowed to sell their seat (through the club) for any games that the ST cant get to.

Yes quite a few clubs do that , would be a sensible thing to do with the swans as well.
