Place of birth Bolton, England
Height 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m)

According to poster on Echo site, Oldham local paper saying that a transfer fee is due at end of season. He accepted our second offer, either more money or a promise of a contract may have swung it. He looks promising, right age and proven goalscorer in this league. Apparently NA has had his eye on him for some time. Obviously NC backed his judgement on this.

Never heard of him.

Would have like to have seen us sign a few 'bigger players'. Adkins seems to go for players I haven't heard of...ie Forte, Stephens...

Would be nice to sign players from leagues above that have that experience

Oh well lets give him a chance <ok>

this lad looks decent. Its nice to be talking about a good opportunity that we haven't missed out on!

Ward-Prowse will have to wait a bit longer, but pre-season will probably be his opportunity now.

Experience in this league may prove important. Oldham have replaced him with a youngster from Blackburn Rovers. Good luck to them, but an inexperienced though talented youngster is not what we need at a crucial part of the season. Dickov says Stephens is on a loan, but he wished him good luck and said he'd play at a higher level in the future. Whether he meant with us or that Oldham would sell him at end of season was unclear. Wonder if we have an option.

10 games is plenty of time to see if he can make the step up to the Championship. He's scored 11 goals which is great for a midfielder, and he's only little so must have quick feet and good balance to compensate. He sounds promising, and the Oldham fans seem really cut up about losing him - has to be a good sign.

Adkins can sign who the **** he likes if they can do a job.big names aren't what we need - he's out on loan for having an attitude problem.

To be honest i'd rather have paul wotton back than no one. At least we've got someone if a cm gets injured!

At 5ft 7" he is on the small side! Who would you have wanted.

I know nothing about him, but I believe that Adkins knows what he is doing, and seems to plan for the long term. Let's hope that we don't have to rely on any of the loans for too long.

Can I volunteer myself to play for Saints.

Young, 17, quick, have been told that I have good free-kick/corner ability, play on either wing or striker ;)

Cortese sign me up <ok>

Anyone that hasn't heard of him obviously has no idea about League One. It was evident in the first few games of the season how much he was controlling matches for Oldham. I think he was top scorer with 4 goals after 2 games or something. Brilliant signing to take us through the remainder of the season. Chuffed to bits.
