Yep, you've all conveniently forgotten when Welbeck was fouled in the area at Craven Cottage and got nothing. ****ing hypocrites.

This, theres no doubt that Carrick made contact with Murphy, but it looked like Murphy was going down anyways. In regards to the ref, I think the angle in which Carrick, Murphy, and the ball started and ended up made it hard for him to get a clear view if what actually happened.

I think I'll have to look at it again.

So you have evidence of this of course? What a letter or a recording from SAF bullying them? Footage of them intimidating them during the match? Seriously though, wise up. Yes it was a penalty and the ref cocked up. It happens and will happen again. I suppose you think Bob Pollock the linesman is biased towards Bolton or Stoke for that matter?

Well if we're looking for consistency from refs then Barry got away with a blatant foul on Whelan in the box on Saturday...maybe the ref was just trying to be consistent? <whistle>

I agree with you - Murphy was definitely looking for a pen as soon as he got the ball. But then the fact he was fishing doesn't make it any less of a pen - plenty of players do the same. Definite let off for us there, and I can understand Fulham feeling hard done by.

Definitely another good argument for having an assistant behind the goal to give a better view of incidents like that. Although that said there have been a fair few bad decisions like that in Europe where they do have the extra officials.

    Fair play mate.

Like I say, I'll have to look at it again - it looked like minimal contact, the sort that if it was given there would be an uproar from Utd fans. I don't blame Murphy for going down, like you say nearly all players do it.

If they do then you can be sure Fergie will not rest until that referee is forced out of a job. I expect Michael Oliver had a bottle of champers waiting for him when he got home last night. 'From Fergie and the team x'

Anyone going to comment on Welbeck not being given a penalty at Craven Cottage? Thought not.

Predictable. There is no hard evidence that Harry Redknapp is crooked, but do you think he is?

I don't remember this or have been able to find anything mentioned in various match reports, if it had been as obvious a claim as the one we had last night surely a bigger deal would have been made? I seem to remember one of your five goals taking a massive deflection off of Senderos though, so the luck evened itself out.

Was it a shout similar to the one your old man was talking about?

Obviously, my original post was incorrect - the home team continue to get the rub of the green when it comes to penalties.
This week QPR - Even SAF said it was offside in the first place, but I doubt it was a foul. So not a Red Card.
They had most of the chances, but it does not help the taste that QPR leave with, as was with us also.

Lets be fair, there will be a bigger song and dance about this than the two offside goals Chelsea got yesterday.

We got one at OT! At the Stretford End no less either. It also should not have been given <laugh> <diva>

Yes Bidley. Of course I agree - They were somewhat lucky, and I feel sorry for Wigan more than QPR.

QPR despite what they say have not been 'unfortunate'. They will pay for having sacked Warnock who was doing a decent job with the players he had there. Who of the Hughes signings can you really say has made a difference? Cisse has lost his goals credibility through his red cards, Zamora has not been worth £6 million and the other have either barely featured of under-performed.

I don't think the referee denied QPR a result today as if you watched the game, it already looked like a matter of time until Utd scored a goal, whereas we were denied a point because to have scored that late in the game meant Utd would have had very little chance to mount an attack to provide a goal.

I genuinely hope Wigan stay up at the expense of QPR.

Bandy how can you say that? The penalty changed the game. As the denial to award a penalty to us potentially changed the result. Same at Wigan vs Chelsea.

These refs are handing points to teams.
