Seems like the call from the majority who agree we need another mod is being ignored. One of the mods must have read this thread or one of the other threads by now?
There's been a few calls from a few people and maybe 3 threads now, it's mainly late at night when the freaks come out and the abuse gets really bad. People use the board at different times and a lot of the people who are getting annoyed are the people on here at night. I used to close and delete a lot late on it was my busiest time.
Got to agree,the wums sneak in late at night and leave their ****e comments on show throughout the night for visitors of the site to see.
It's hard to see how we can effectively deal with this in full. I know page is a bit of a Thatcher (sleep hours, not politics), but even he's not up all night. 606 had a self moderating system didn't it? Would that improve things? I know it doesn't cover all the bases but it might help. Apart from that, the only answer seems to be for mods to trawl through things as soon as they can get on in the morning, but that must be a real pain. The best, though maybe not the easiest solution, is to just ignore the trolls. It's difficult sometimes but after a while some shiny object will roll by and they'll get distracted. On another note, it's sad to see that our disastrous form of late is making a lot of us squabble amongst ourselves. The wums must love this. I think at times like this we should remember we all support the same team and stick together.

I respect your opinion Mito but think the opposite, If someone advertises a job, you apply, the candidate is then selected from the people who apply. Things have worked that way for years. Why give a position to someone who does not want it. If you want to do somethng in life, you have to say, people are not phychic.
