Yet again a blatent penalty does not get given at Old Trafford!
To the neutral, we may have not deserved to get that much from the game given the possession and shots, but certainly we gave them a scare, so 1-1 might not have been so unfair. An unfortunate end leaves a sour taste.

It's not about possession or shots on target. It's about fairness! We deserved a penalty!

Not surprising really, young and naive referee at Old Trafford in charge of what could be a title deciding game.

Such a shame to see a young man corrupted so early so easily.

Newcastle (Never a penalty in a million years) and Arsenal have been given penalties at Old Trafford this season but still this bullshit myth goes on.

Same old, same old isn't it?

Jol's well used to the way things work against United so I'm sure he's just pleased to get on with the next game without any extra injuries or suspensions.

What do you know about it? Your first comment was "Looked like Carrick won that ball from that **** Murphy to me." It was clear watching the match that it was a penalty, per the laws of the game.

Now go back to your own board where people might believe you. Count yourselves lucky - just because you couldn't finish us off - Even Sky's MOM was one of your defenders.

How's this supposed to make us feel better? Those decisions weren't made with your team 1-0 up in the 90th minute and those games weren't possible title deciders. The referee's are intimidated by Utd and Fergie, that's fact, not assumption.

I took that comment back. Thanks ignoring it.

Our defenders had virtually nothing to do so how one of them could get Man of the Match is bewildering.

As usual any decision that goes in Man Utd's favour it highlighted and scrutinised, and people shout conspiracy, while every decision that goes against Man Utd is forgotten.

Referee made a career decision not to award the penalty. Unfair but so predicatable.

I thought we kept to the game plan well and deserved a point. One good positive from the game was that I thought Ruiz had a great game.

It was a pretty poor game all round.

Fulham defended well and stuck to their game plan but going forward they were dire.

Man Utd were slow and their final ball was terrible.

Just sick of this myth that teams never get penalties at Old Trafford and I'm sick of every being outraged everytime a decision goes in Man Utd's favour but not giving a crap when a decision goes against them and/or benefits one of their rivals.

It's no conspiracy theory, referees give United the benefit of any doubt more than anyother team. They're not on the payroll, they just know that a mistake against United damages their career, it's the same to a lesser extent for all clubs.

Take Atkinson, the inventor of fergie time, as an example. Against City he adjusted an extra 2 minutes on top of injury time, which fair enough can be explained away. Then the same ref for the Everton United 3-3 the next season only added 30 seconds extra on inury time when Everton had scored twice in the 3 mins added and blew the whistle just as Everton were on the attack. Surprise, surprise. Then in the same season, Fergie blasts Atkinson after the 50/50s don't go in his favour against Chelsea and one of England's elite referees who takes charge of CL games is dropped to the Championship. Atkinson, who had taken 4 United games up until that game in the season then doesn't have a United game for over a year. His first game back is the one against Tottenham and he disallows the opening goal of the game despite no law being broken. Handballs have to be intentional...

Atkinson isn't even considered one of the worst either but he provides an excellent example of how it works for referees in United games.

Of course it's a ****ing myth that referees are actually biased to Man U, it's a comfort blanket to rivals and if you seriously believe it then you're a deluded **** who needs to get his head out his own arse.

Saying that, it was a penalty, Oliver's not a bad ref at all though and at first view it didn't look like a penalty so i'll give the lad benefit of the doubt <ok>

People seem to have forgotten the penalty Welbeck should have been awarded at Craven Cottage. Selective memories.

Excuse me, but when Utd get a decision that goes against them Fergie doesn't shut up about it for a few weeks afterwards. He even brought one up tonight 'We had an appeal earlier in the box so maybe the referee was thinking about that one' shut up Fergie, I don't remember a legitimate penalty appeal earlier in the game? If you play like that for the remainder of the season then the title is City's.

They think there was a hand ball, United fans don't know the meaning of ball to hand unless it's one of their own <ok>

You're joking? The cross that hit Kelly's arm when he was about a yard in front of I think it was Evra who delivered the cross? Then proceeded to jump up and down like a little boy in a supermarket when the decision didn't go his way? This does sound familiar, I thought it was a joke appeal anyway?

To be fair, I watched it in the pub and I wasn't massively incensed when we weren't given the penalty. You see them given but it looked a bit soft, Murphy had no intention of staying on his feet. I don't know, seeing everyone elses reactions makes me think I missed something.
