What about Aaron Martin, every time the defending dynamo comes on it seems to boost the team, and what a finish a couple of weeks ago, future England prospect.

Not one player has really disappointed me this season but I would have to say:

    1. Lambert - it's not just the goals, but you all know that
    2. Jos - I saw him on his debut and thought he was class straight away. Also I just flat out the love guy, he's such a laugh!
    3. Kelvin - been on sensational form

    1. No-one has been as consistent as Rickie, he is the inspiration of the team.
    2. If Rickie wasn't there, Jos. See below.
    3. Honourable mention for SKD, who has helped kept 16 clean sheets in the League this season, sometimes single-handed (Leeds away).

Lambert, hooiveld, davis, spiderman, richardson, cork (start of season mainly), guly, fox and Lallana are all fairly deserving of an award. Gotta say lambo though would be daft for him to win the player of the championship but not the best saints player?

Lambert I would have to say.....Followed closely by Hoover. The others whilst some are bit ahead of the others (spider/Lallana perhaps) are all on pretty well an even keel for me.......

There is only one winner and no matter how hard you try and talk the others up, (who have of course all contributed to a fantastic season) no one has bought more to the team on a consistent basis than the big number 7.

My three for it would be Lambert, Hooiveld, Schneiderlin.

    1) Lambert will win no doubt about that. The guy has proven to the country he can play at a higher level and is the key to a lot of our success.

2)Hoovield has consistently been class and has been a revelation since he's joined. Love his enthusiasm and dedication to the team.

3)The reason I have picked Schneiderlin is purely for his consistent play, he's been a completely different player to last year. He dictates the game, when we struggle its due to Morgan not getting enough of the ball. But he links the defence to attack very effectively and to be perfectly honest his cross-field balls are quiet literally incredible. I will always remember the game at Palace in the cup where he was pinging the ball everywhere, it made me laugh because Ward-Prowse then tried to spray the ball around but wasn't coming off. The best thing is he's still so young!!

Then pretty much everyone else. It's not just about eleven players...someone wise said that!

Lallana and Morgan are the most gifted players in the team by a long way in my book football just looks easy for them. However that doesnt mean theyve been the best so.
1-Lambert most games has played every role in attack and been superb with his goals aswell hes definitly the player who if we took out we may well have not been in this posistion.
2-Hooiveld been consistent helped Jose out when he was out of form and fitness early on and he is the main reason we have dealt with some of the big strong physical teams in this league.
3-Lallana he can beat any player in the league but for me thats not what makes him so important. His football brain his movement and passing and general awarness are top draw he keeps us ticking over and can always pull of abit of magic. If he gets a full season fit he will be frightning.

    This ^^

I think IF we go up, there should not be a player of the season, but the whole squad should win it. Remember it's about the squad not the 11!!!

however, joint top i think are Lambert, Lallana, Morgan, Super Kelv, Guly, Jos, Jose...

After seeing Sharpshooter11's Player of the Season thread, I thought it would be good to create a poll and name the Not 606 Player of the Season 2011/12

Will you go for the obvious Rickie Lambert for his goals?
    Jos Hooiveld for his defending?
    Adam Lallana for his sparkle?
    Kelvin Davis for Leeds alone?

26th April the poll will close, and the player of the season will be crowned so get voting!

Perhaps the mods could merge and sticky with the previous so we get the best of both worlds?

Voted for Richardson, thought he has been a revaluation this season. Haven't seen him have a poor game.
