H, sounds like you need to lay down in a darkened room, soft music, scented candles and some massage oil Is it getting hot in here
ssshhhh don't let the secret out.... tell em it always rains and is miserable, we don't want more of us english up north, the roads might get busy and stop my fun.
Stayed up in Glasgow a few times and went to Aberdeen once (1969), I know it is called the Granite City, but I could not believe how grey the place was. Now Edinburgh there is a different place all together. Only place I know where the main shopping street has shops on one side of the road and a castle on the other. To be honest I love the country, as do I all of the British Isles and I'm proud to be British.
Having a discussion with a group of friends out here, the subject of which six nations rugby team we supported came up. There was total agreement that if England played France we wanted England to win. When France were playing one of the other countries we all wanted France to win. Does this mean that we are all less British?
No - I think that is the British "polite" way of doing things - as we live in Wales we support Wales except when they play England
No I think it's more like the Stockholm Syndrom or to quote Stephen Stills - ' If you can't have the one you love honey, love the one you're with'
Not at all. For very different reasons I'm starting to feel the same way, not because I have any love at all for the French, but because I don't work or socialise with French people on a regular basis.
After a day out and about the estate I have just been catching up on my mail. One peice came from someone who was in the directors box Saturday and the discussion was about the pitch. Stuart Timperley and Glyn Evans were worried that water restrictions could prevent the new pitch coming this summer. It would seem that whereas last winter was too wet, this one has been too dry, so it has gone from a bog into a rutted tank training course. Although it is high on the list of things to be done, without water it might not happen.
Good to see Rodgers admit he moved to Reading too quickly and got carried away with his own legend. Has vowed not to make same mistake again and move to quickly from the swans lets see if he stays another year or not....
The nationality question again. Am I right in thinking that Luther was offered a Scottish or Welsh cap before he played for England?
On the question of nationalities, with being born in the Channel Islands, my sons could represent any of the following: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and France.
Morning all from a bright start in West West London, although there was still a bit of ice scraping to be done before leaving bandit country at sparrows fart... Anyone see Panorama last night? now that was scary stuff... Funny how this nationality thing takes people in different ways...
Great morning again, not the sort of one to be sat in a classroom. Still needs must, and there is the afternoon to look forward to. I was reading a bit yesterday, can't find it now, about Scotland wanting to set up the Scottish Broadcasting Corporation. They will take a few programmes from the Beeb such as Eastenders, but want to have most of the output to reflect the country. The attitude seemed to be that if you didn't like it get a dish.
