I think Probert needs to have another look at the rules as i recall defenders handling the ball on the goal line and someone forcing the ball into the net immediately afterwards and the goal standing with the defender either booked or sent off as well. The ref was a **** and that was the only difference between the teams on saturday.
The ref was a **** and that was the only difference between the teams on saturday. No,we scored a perfectly good goal, Lonners would have saved it if the ref didn't blow for a penalty,His reactions were slightly delayed. And he would have saved the other penalties. The other difference was we scored, you didn't. Leeds> Millwall
He blew as Kane hit the ball, it was less than 2 seconds from the foul to the ball hitting the net, Lornergan dived to try to save it, clearly he never heard the whistle.
We don't know that and never will. In my opinion he would have saved it but his reactions were delayed for that split second from the whistle. Accept defeat and continue with your relagation battle
Just examined the highlights again, both tripping penalty incidents look borderline (at least) dives, Bruce's arm was batted towards the ball by Keogh and he also would have got in line to block Kane's shot had he not stopped because of the whistle.
Seriously, try to watch all those parts again without your Millwall glasses on. You see injustice because you want to to explain how you lost a game you should have got more from.
You accuse me of having rose-tinted glasses?, watched it again in my best unbiased manner and i notice not only did Lonergan dive but 2 Leeds players tried to close down Kane, absolutely no sign of any Leeds players stopping because they heard the refs whistle. If it was a proper ref and the goal had rightly stood i very much doubt many Leeds fans/players would had been shouting the ref had blown his whistle as no one seemed to had heard it.
You didn't notice Alex Bruce running towards the ball then stopping to jump up and down and wave his arms?
No, he goes out of shot after the ball hits the net, i'll take your word for it that he had a strop, god knows why though i'd be laughing my bollocks off if that was us.
Exaggerated dives often put refs of giving the player a penalty, thats what i thought happened in the other incident
