You see those red things there?
    They're called seats.
If you want you can sit at HT or through all the game.
Seens as most people who want to stand congregate at the back why not sit at the front, with your handbag and prawn sandwich...

It would mean so much of an effort to redesign the stadia to allow this again, and to make it 'safe' to get past health and safety, it's really not worth the bother for something some may not like.

Dan Johnson from the premier league says:

They [all-seater stadiums] have led to more women and more children attending the games and no matter how safe standing can be made, seating is always safer
    Dan Johnson
    Premier League spokesman

I disagree with his fundamental point. Standing in all seated areas is far more dangerous than a designated safe standing area. His excuse for not wanting to entertain the idea is totally flawed and reveals a bias that illustrates how out of touch the premier league are with the ordinary fan.

Indeed, I stand all game at Villa Park, surely it'd be safer for me (and the however many other fans who do) to do so in a safe standing area...

Thousands of match attending football fans of every club.

You buy your ticket in an all-seating area of the ground so you don't run the risk of having to use your legs. Not hard really.

So just do it at one end of the stadium then. Seems to work fine in the Bundesliga, the best League for supporters in Western Europe.

Is it not true that petitions are worthless without signatures i.e the vast majority of internet petitions, but are very good at getting your details to send you spam?!

The police issued Celtic FC with a warning because a section of their fans kept refusing to sit down.

The women and kids can piss off.

I lost my legs so I prefer to sit if it's all the same.

As far as I can see it all standing areas are full of people metaphorically thumbing their noses at me because I can't stand.

Aye well you can sit in the seated section then while the rest of us who want to stand can. It's much easier to hug a grown man straight after the goal when you are standing up, just for that little awkward moment to appear when the instant euphoria subsides.
