Rafa Benitez wants to return to Liverpool. I nearly crashed the car in laughing so much when the news came on the radio. He told Sky Sports News: He went on to say: Classic. I'm not wishing him back because I fear Dalglish. No fear there. No I would like him back since he's a muppet.
I'd like Rafa to come back to 'pool now the magical ã100 billion NESV are in the driving seat. Cos when he failed this time there could be no excuses about a lack of funding...
Don't let KingPepe catch you being negative about NESV; after all they rule the world with their money and wisdom.
Maybe he's skint? All he has to do is sign a 4 year contract, **** the team up again like he used to, get sacked, and pocket a few more million compensation. And the scousers are daft enough to do that too.
Don't tell the scousers. They're all convinced he was great and didn't get the money to buy all the players he needed. Facts have never been Liverpool's strong point
http://www.imscouting.com/global-ne...defeat-a-legacy-of-Rafa-Benitezs-reign/10736/ Benitez spent ã240m during his Liverpool reign and recouped ã152m, with a net spend of ã88m. In comparison SAF during the same period spent ã223m, recouping ã165m, with a net spend of ã58m. What a plank.
Yup Not a sweeping view, but a funny example...A few years ago I was at the Newcastle races on an all dayer with my now wife and a load of her mates and their fellas. One was a LFC fan, from Macclesfield weirdly enough, also happened to be 10 in the early 80's, who was ****ing massive and evidently a glory hunting ****. After many drinks and him slating Chelsea for hours, my one retort was that Rafa had been given a blank cheque and used it to his full ability in signing mostly ****e players. He furrowed his brow, thought about it for a minute and then launched across the table and kicked off
I'd love to see that fat useless **** back to destroy that vile club. Maybe they will be stupid enough to hire him again after "King" Kenny gets sacked for not winning the Quadruple with Liverpool's "amazing" squad.
What kind of dickhead would physically attack someone at a friendly outing just because they criticised their (****e) manager? That's right, a scouser.
They probably would you know. I can imagine it now, the fanfair, open-top bus tour, the unfettered optimism of the bin-dippers, huge Rafa banners on the Kop. Then a 0-0 draw at home to Stoke, with Rafa taking off Gerrard and Suarez with half an hour to go.
Strange thread to have on the Man Utd board! Don't think there are many Liverpool fans that want him back and the fans that back Rafa are just being loyal he did a lot for the club but also made mistakes. You can argue about money given and players bought, net spend and crap like that all day but it all comes down to a European cup and FA Cup also another European cup final. It wasn't going well at the end and he went at the right time. I will always look back and remember those 2 moments he gave us.
Damn right - he was the best thing to happen to United in the 2008/09 season. Turned Liverpool from likely champions into runners up with one press conference... @luvgonzo, do you reckon if we tried to sign Forlan again there wouldn't be a similar thread appearing on the Liverpool board?
