Totally agree mate. Taiwo should play left midfield if he plays at all when Traore is fit. I liked Onouha/Ferdy/Hill/Traore as our back 4. Young has looked very shaky, both in the few games before his injury and since his return. I shudder to think what Walcott will do to either Taiwo or Young on Sat!!
The reason why we couldnt persuade Graham is that Warnock was manager. It was known several players wouldnt sign for us with him in charge.
Agreed no-one can know for sure. What we can do is infer and draw conclusions based on what we do know. Martin O'Neil left Aston Villa after a dispute over transfer funding. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/aug/09/martin-oneill-quits-aston-villa Why do you think he would have come to Loftus Road last summer?
Same reason Hughes did. He had money to spend with the promise of a huge upgrade in training and ground facilities. People would have laughed in the summer if you said we were going to sign international players from Lazio and AC Milan just like you are now with MON, it obviously doesnt mean it would not happen.
And there I was thinking that it was down to the fact that we wouldn't stump up any money for anyone. We should and would have had your wish for hungry lower league players but the goons enforced a transfer embargo on anyone who cost money (except DJ Campbell for some bizarre reason).
Are you for fu*king real? Ain't it because the Goons wouldn't pay for anyone? You're getting destroyed on this thread mate. You're out of your league.
We stumped up millions in wages for SWP and Barton. Far more than it would cost for DJ over the years they are here.
We had no money to spend in the summer, something that dogs us to this day. Didn't we have to offload Gorkss to fund transfers? If you read that link I posted it seems O'Neil wasn't too impressed when Lerner told him to do this exact thing at Villa. I'm not sure if you realise just how toxic for want of a better word the managers seat at Rangers had become by this time. As Roller said above who'd want to come to a club after they'd sacked a manager that'd just given them the Premiership after 15 years?
You idiot. Graham was signed by Swansea weeks before Tony took over. The bloody season had started you muppet!
Ok, so that just proves we had money to spend then doesnt it and players still wouldnt come under Warnock. Theyd only come for the money.
We're obviously on crossed wires here Flyer cos you're not making any sense to me nor I to you. I've jumped in mid-thread so I'll quietly jump out again.
