Okay, who would win, a drunken Fernando Alonso, or a sober Narain Karthikeyan?

I have been to spain, and trust me, Spaniards drive faster when they are drunk. They also tend to mistake he horn for the brake for some reason.

It is amazing. It's amazing he's leading the championship and won a race with a midfield car, especially with five other world champions on the grid (all of whom are in faster cars).

I honestly think he can win the title. I stand by what I said before the start of the season (Alonso will be champion with Vettel as his nearest challenger). The F2012 is not competitive at the moment but it has a lot of potential and there are big updates coming in China and Mugello/Spain. Alonso is convinced, so am I.

Lets face it, he really shouldn't be leading the championship... So it is quite amazing. If Ferrari can pull a 2010 turnaround, he could be in bloody good shape.

Right, I've finally got some time to write down my view on the race that I totally expect will be hideously wide of the mark.

Alonso: Pretty much a faultless drive, his usual banzai start wasn't there as much as I'm used to but I think I can forgive him this time ;) He may have been caught by Perez had Perez not mucked up, but he did so we'll never know. Top drive for Alonso.
Moving on to his team mate, Massa, well what can I say, probably a better drive than Aus but his driving is really getting quite dirty, his defending was all over the shop and how he didn't have a accident I just don't know.

Perez: Obviously that was a hell of a drive, a Sauber in second, and catching the leader is nothing other than brilliant. Its a shame he dropped it at the end but 2nd is still <ok>

Hamilton: Got the pole as expected and got away just fine, the weather and pit stops just didn't go his way today. His drive wasn't amazing but it was at least "good", enough for a win probably had it been dry and he was rightly happy to bring it home 3rd in the difficult weather.
Button on the other hand seemed to be having a mare of a day. Clumsy driving at times and struggling with the tyres, some have said it was reminiscent of some of Hamilton's 2011 drives after one of his silly mistakes which I guess I could agree with partially.

Vettel was another one who had a all right day at the office until he thought the HRTs were worse than they actually are, pulling in front of the HRT and assuming it wasn't accelerating. He seems to have lost that coolness he had last year, but then again everything was going right for him last year and he was fully taking advantage of that. 2012 is the first time in over a year that he's been 'behind', how he will come back I can't wait to see.
Webber kept out of trouble and seemed to be ahead of Vettel all weekend, an early season mental boost for him which puts him ahead of Vettel for the first time in ages :p

I have to stop somewhere so I guess stopping there will do.

    Major <ok>'up to:
    -Raikkonen
    -Senna
    -di Resta
    -Vergne
    -Hulkenberg
    -and Schumacher
too who all had a good days fight to score points.

I wouldn't say Jensons performance was like one of Hamiltons. It more resembled himself in Korea 2010. In the sense that its not the collision that bothers me (Everyone makes a mistake sometime, Even Jenson), its more the utter lack of any kind of fightback that upset me.

Why would Lewis look happy with 3rd today but miserable with 3rd last week?

Was it something to do with the two who beat him in Australia?

He knows Alonso & Perez aren't threats for the title. He just sees it as gaining 15 points in the Battle with Seb and Jenson.

Australia was a pretty straight forward race. This had rain, red flags, iffy pitstops and Button and Vettel out of the points. looking on the bright side is a lot easier this time ;)

I picked alonso to win the title, this was before the car was released though, so i didn't know it would be so bad. However, as a word of warning, i must tell you if i picked him, he won't win. I never get predictions right.

Are you predicting that your prediction is wrong because your predictions are always wrong?

Alonso can not win the title. He is ahead now but after two races in 2010 Massa led the way so that tells you how much it means. It will have to be one mighty china update.
