Same reason I would any ex Leeds player, they always seem to have a point to pay and raise their game.
All banter aside - I'm hoping for a cracking game tomorrow but with no rediculous taunting from the crowd (I didn't appreciate any of that Turkish **** from our so called 'supporters' last year). Good humoured banter required..... Bring the suntan lotion though - most of your lot will be in direct sunshine - does the sun ever shine in Leeds? Come on you Lions ..... 3-1 to the Wall!
Morning all. 80 in the shade tomorrow.... & we all know that lions hate the sun & feel the need to go hide in the shade!!!! Let's hope for plenty of good natured banter & a good game. No need any cantstandbullsh&t banners!!!
I agree Boggers - The club have sent out letters to all ST holders Letter from MFC/MSC: Dear ***********, As always we are all looking forward to the visit of Leeds United to The Den on 24th March. Our rivalry over the past few years has been intense and passionate, firstly as we both battled for promotion from League One, and then to establish ourselves in the Championship. Whenever Leeds visit there is a special atmosphere which has led to some cracking games of football. Last season, unfortunately, one or two individuals went beyond the bounds of acceptable behaviour by bringing Turkish flags into the ground to taunt the Leeds fans. Not surprisingly this was distressing for the families of those who lost their lives in Istanbul a few years back. The last thing we would want to do is dilute a passionate atmosphere at a top match like this. However, pride in Millwall means pride in our club and all it stands for, which doesn't include stunts that will sicken and offend those that have already suffered the bereavement of loved ones. Please protect your club and its reputation and show that Millwall fans have class and common human decency by not displaying flags , shirts etc or indulging in chants relating to past incidents that took place in Turkey. Thanks Pete Garston - Fan/Director Bob Asprey - Millwall Supporters Club Chairman on behalf of the MSC Committee.
Very honourable of the club. Let's hope plod's finest do the necessary & search all fans for dodgy teeshirts & banners as well as the usual array of iffy bits & pieces. I'm just annoyed that I can't go to the game. Bit tricky getting a ticket for this game travelling from BR2 to Deptford & back again in either a Leeds shirt or at least coming out of the Leeds supporters area. Heyho, at least when we win (hopefully), I'll be able to go back to my local & tickle the ribs of a few of the regulars who know me as a Leeds fan.
Unlucky Wall. Hope you stay in the league for the 6 points again next season As for that letter. Surely it needs to go to the idiots that just turn up once a year for the leeds game not ST holders?
For those on nere that went & leaving the result aside for the moment, did the letter from your club make any difference? Did our fans behave themselves?
Boggers- There was still 1 turkey flag and and plenty of offensive chanting. No trouble coming from Leeds end.
It's a picture of me photoshopped onto a Millwall player and then photoshopped onto a screen in New York.
